There was only one person she could think of. "Thank you. You can go now!" She spoke to Viola without taking her eyes off the rose. "Good night, My Lady!" After she left, Rosana got out of her seat and rushed over to the bed. She picked up the flower and inhaled its beautiful sweet scent with a smile on her face. I shifted in my heels, feeling discomfort under the unfamiliar man's slimy scrutiny. He didn't bother to hide the dark lust that simmered and consumed the greens in his orbs. "This is Ellie," Lorenzo said, his hand moving to rest on my hip in a gesture that was unmistakably possessive. "Elijah's sister. She's also a member of the Black Rose now." I pushed the thought away because I had more important things to do. One thing had to be done. In fact, I resumed it. I pulled out a rose from the vase by the window, which Aida had just placed, and like the others so far, I burned it. I watched in satisfaction as it flamed. It burned exactly like my patience. I watched the thick smoke rise to my eye level and wondered how there would be no diplomacy in resolving the issue with Clarissa. “What are you doing?” my cousin asked, poking his head through the door. Seemed like I could not get away from him today.

"Eloise did work my butt off but it was worth it. She might be ice cold but she respects me and was very kind to help me grow my connections." Tamara scoffed, rolling her eyes at Rosie's always kind attitude. "She was cruel, Rosie. Nevertheless, I am insanely proud of you." Some of Rosie's artwork was going to be displayed in one of the local art galleries. It was a big moment for her, a huge step in her career. Just an older man with silver hair and eyes like oil; slick, dark, unreadable. They called him consigliere. Advisor. Manipulator. He smiled at her like he knew everything. Including why she was here. She avoided him for the rest of the day. But that night, as she cleaned the study, she found something. A black notebook, half-buried under a pile of folders. Inside, dates. Payments. Names. Including her father’s. One name was underlined in red. "Project 5B : Initiated by A.D." She blinked. Her breath caught.

Benjamin took the rose from her hand and could not help but find her gesture cute. He took the rose closer to his nose and inhaled its scent while maintaining an intense look into Eliza’s eyes. “What’s the special occasion?” he gave her a teasy look. Eliza raised her head and bit the side of her lip as her nervousness could not be contained. She was too excited for Benjamin to see what she had done for him. “It’s a surprise!” she whispered while a huge grin formed on her beautiful face that was covered neatly in a thin layer of makeup. The red lipstick on her luscious lips added a hot pop that Benjamin for sure could not resist.

Sh*t! Benjamin only raised an eyebrow as he approached me and sat beside me. He keeps smiling that boyish smile in my direction “I notice you alone” He offers me his hand for me to shake “I’m Paul” His voice that dark hint and I take a look at his hand for a while. Sighing, I finally accepted his offered hand “I’m Rose” I lied and Benjamin who knows it just gave me a big grin but didn’t say anything while keeping making drinks for the other customer.

She could not think of anyone.
