I don’t know but… the beautiful scenery calmed me and it made me feel so welcomed. I thought for sure that this is just a dream but the smell, the touch of the wind to my skin and the soft melody of nature around me is telling me that everything is true. I feel like I am really Alice in wonderland, this must be how Alice felt being in a mysterious world no one knows that exists. If I go around in my normal world telling people of seeing all these, they will call me crazy. I hope I won’t encounter dangers here that I can’t handle though; I’m crossing my fingers on that.

A looked crossed his eyes,but it went away as quickly as it came, and soon he was looking at me amused again. "Of course, I didn't anticipate finding raunchy books in a sweet girl's bag, you're definitely right. Noted, I'm never doing that again." I scowled and he smirked. "So Rosie?" He asked, I couldn't help it, I rolled my eyes at that, rubbing at my temples. "No, my name's Rosette, not Rosie. That's childish." "Okay, so Rose. Well that's a pretty name for a very pretty girl, as cliché as it sounds, it's the truth, you're a pretty little flower." And the blush that was barely receding was back again.

Just as I anticipated, I heard a soft knock on the door, and Alpha Roman announced his arrival and his intention to see me. With a deep breath, I whispered, "Come in.” The door swung open, revealing the Alpha. “Good evening, my lovely rose,” he exclaimed. I mustered a faint smile, doing my best to hide my utter disgust. Since the engagement, he had taken to calling me his rose, which was far from flattering. His smile, his eyes, it all made my stomach churn with a feeling I couldn't quite name. I concealed my smirk as I contemplated the loss of respect I had for him after he conspired with my mother to force me into his bed and make me his unwilling bride.

Arnold explained his points in plain words. "I understand, I promise to abide by the rules too. I don't think I will be able to fall in love with you too, you heartless beast." Alice muttered whispering the last part to herself. Her eyes blazed with determination, she had snapped out of the fairytale she once lived in, she no longer believed in happy endings anymore. "Did you say something?" Arnold questioned when he heard her whispers, his brow raised. "Oh no, no, no I didn't say anything." Alice mumbled flashing him a fake smile, "you said you wanted to say something to me? What's it?" Alice asked changing the topic to something else.

It moved farther and farther from the cemetery on the hillside, and farther away from all the love and hatred buried beneath Sicily's soil. Daisy leaned against Caleb's shoulder and looked out the window. The hillsides were covered in blooming irises. The warm breeze never felt better. Her new life had only just begun.

Just the lingering stench of a ghost who had already probably left the scene. I didn't waste time checking the perimeter with my hands full. I marched up the grand staircase, my heavy boots thudding against the marble steps.
