As he screams out, I drive the dagger into his chest and he falls to the ground. In general, rogues are weaker than wolves that belong to a pack. They don't have the strength that comes from the unity of being in a pack. Wolves are social creatures, and their wolves weaken significantly without that bond to an Alpha. Many rogues are on their own for years before they join other rogues, so they weaken a great deal. However, just because these rogues are weaker, they have the upper hand right now. With just four more to go, I can feel my body becoming sluggish. All my energy sources have been depleted in the last five weeks and I'm just running on pure adrenaline at this point.

I'm starting a new novel! I'm so excited to share with you guys the other novel I've been plotting lately. Queen Of Ace What is this novel all about? =If you haven't read my first novel, His Fragile Flame, I uploaded in this app, this is only "a part" of it but can be read as "stand-alone". This story was written in different character's perspective and her back story before His Fragile Flame. You don't have to read the first book to understand this novel, and I think it's better if you read this before that because HFF has spoilers.

I had to get to her. I ran through the crowd of people as they shouted out how beautiful she was. Once I reached her I was stopped in place. She truly was beautiful. She was the most beautiful she-wolf I had ever seen. Her fur was the purest white. Her eyes were ice blue. Her fur let off a glow that reminded me of the northern lights. She was magnificent. I could feel Jace jumping around, lusting for her.

The closest I'd been to a pack before settling down with the Rogues was when I was hiding away from them. “That must be fun. I've never been anywhere.,” she said in a sad tone. I inwardly huffed. Going to new places was exciting, but for years it could grow dull. It didn't help that I had to live as nondescript as possible back then. Having a safe space and home was better. That was what I found in the rogue pack. I missed it already. “Could you…can you tell me about them?” she asked. Now that was surprising.

She raised a claw to finish it off when another rogue jumped at her, knocking her off the wolf. Nora whimpered, falling to a side, leaving her ribs bruised and bleeding. Of course, rogues travelled in twos. The new rogue crouched beside the fallen rogue, sniffing it and checking if it was still alive. Nora saw her blood on a couple of fallen leaves and growled, charging at the newcomer. She gave it no breathing space as she took it down, swiping at its neck with renewed energy and anger. When it tried to howl for help, she ripped out its vocal cord and the rogue went still. Returning to the initial one, it was barely alive and struggling to get away.

The council was run by the oldest members of different packs no matter the gender. Right now we had just one female and five males. The leader of the council is the oldest person and she began to speak. “Welcome Alphas, we are here to make an important decision. We don’t need to make it a debate or tell you what we are here for but for clearing up any misunderstanding, we are gathered to make a decision. Should the rouge pack be part of us? The council would have decided on this but we have unfortunately come to a tie and incase of a tie breaker, it would be put for a public vote.”

Nova’s POV The library was silent, save for the occasional crackle of the fire in the hearth. A dozen open books surrounded me, their pages filled with old, faded scripts that blurred together in my tired mind. Liora’s journal lay at the center of it all, her precise handwriting guiding me through fragmented thoughts and cryptic hints. The Rogue King. The Forsaken Amulet. The medallion Rowena had presented at the council meeting. All of it pointed to a larger puzzle, but the pieces didn’t fit—not yet.
