TEL’ANNAS T he coppery smell of blood and sweat was strong, even from where we were seated in the back of the stands. The room was dimly lit except for the spotlights focused on the ring in the middle. Scantily clad women walked around the arena, holding trays, some taking orders and others bets. From our vantage points we could see almost the entire club, but more importantly we had a direct line of sight to the V.I.P seating area.

Two days later. 5:30 pm. The Great Arena, Central City. Plane Woede. Candice peeped through the crack of the door. She had opened it just a tiny fraction, so she could see into the vast corridor. This place was the size of a standard Olympic stadium. It could seat a total of a hundred thousand people. She was the item for the great gathering, yet she was confined to a tiny change room, in the enclave of the small outpost that marked the stadium's back office. A small provision of rooms was where all the operations were carried out backstage, before showing it to the public.

Simple and practical. When we arrive at the arena, I'm impressed despite myself. The venue is massive. Much larger than the spaces they've used for previous competitions. The walls are high, painted a crisp white, with one entire side dedicated to the game wall. A huge circle has been painted in the center, bright red against the white background. There are tiered seats for spectators on three sides, already half-filled with people who've chosen to watch rather than compete. The atmosphere is buzzing with excitement and nervous energy.

I quickly approached him. "I need your help finding the arena," I said desperately. "You're in luck! That's where I am heading," he said cheerfully, grabbing my hand. I sighed and entertained his happy couple delusion as he led me to the arena. It was at the farest corner of the academy and the building was huge with a high ceiling and no windows. Artificial lights painted the ceiling. The room was open and empty with a square platform in the middle. There were a few students already in the room, some sat on the platform while others were stretching and warming up.

ZANA’S POV The arena was unrecognizable. I had stood in this space dozens of times over the past weeks — for training, for preliminary rounds, for the maze event that had nearly swallowed me whole — and none of those times had prepared me for what it looked like now. Every seat was filled. Every tier, every platform, every available space packed with bodies — students in house colors, academy staff in formal grey, court nobles in expensive dark fabric, personal guards stationed at intervals around the outer ring like decorative reminders of who held the real power here.

I slowly turn in a circle, taking in the arena in its entirety as my pulse quickens. From the entrance, I had thought the place looked large. From the center, it feels enormous. Stone terraces rise in wide circles around the arena floor. Not completely full. Large gaps remain between sections of spectators, a lingering precaution from the plague protocols introduced months ago. Even so, the turnout is staggering. Entire families occupy the terraces. Warriors stand along the upper levels. Several healers in white uniforms are stationed throughout the arena, a visible reminder that despite today's festivities, the plague remains very real.

"Wow ... It's good to hear. You really are the perfect ruler of the three islands. " Anna coughed, "Excuse me, may I know where is Bianca?" Anna asked. "Oh, she's sitting there," Elroy replied. Anna and Jin looked in elroy's designated direction. They were in a large building in front ofthe arena that could accommodate as many as twenty thousand spectators. The atmosphere in that place had started to bustle, they seemed to be impatient for this tournament to start immediately. A bang filled the entire stands. They shouted in support of the names of the participants.

Ahn decided to meet Minhu and Jaemin directly at the old mansion. The fight was going to take place in the fighting arena behind Main mansion. This arena was made exactly for such purpose. Unlike the boxing ring and sophisticated highly developed and modern area like at Ahn's place. This arena was designed to hold a fight in a condition which mimics war. The only difference was the presence of seats for the judges, and spectators. The ground was not layered out and was filled with gravel and natural earthen surface. It was a large circle surrounded by sitting area much like how we see in a normal cricket or football stadium.
