The next few weeks went by peacefully and silently. With Roxanne busy with her ongoing projects and her relationship with Lance, she barely had time to think of things like Christopher and Penelope. But all that changed when she got a call from her grandmother. "Roxy dear, come home this weekend, won't you?" Rosalie said once Roxanne answered the phone call. "This weekend?" She asked as she placed her mug of coffee away and gathered some of the files she still had to look over, into her hand and then slipped into a comfortable position on her couch to begin working. "What's happening this weekend?"

Theodore I couldn't help but wonder what had happened to Roxanne during her stay in the Crimson Star pack that she could say that to me. My family knows both of Roxanne's parents and they are great and strong werewolves, not only that their reputation is also good. But, I don't understand why Roxanne was treated so badly in the Crimson Star pack, that she thought so little of herself. Now when I look at Roxanne's fragile figure and look anxiously waiting for my reaction. I sighed harshly, then thought carefully before answering Roxanne's words, I really didn't want to make her even more pessimistic.

MARGARET The midday sun streams through the grand windows of my office, casting golden beams across the polished mahogany desk. Patience has never been my strong suit, but today, it’s necessary. My fingers tap a steady rhythm on the desk’s surface, my gaze locked on the door. Finally, a soft knock breaks the silence. “Come in,” I call, arranging my features into calm authority. The door opens, and Roxanne steps inside, her hair perfectly styled, her silk blouse catching the light with every movement. She exudes poise and sophistication—the embodiment of what a Luna should be. Daniel may not see it yet, but I do.

I slipped back into the fray, my senses heightened, every nerve ending on alert. Roanne was back at the party, but she wasn’t her usual carefree self. She was a bit on the edge, trying to pretend like she was ok when I knew well after the encounter with Michael, she was anything but. I watched her interact, I watched her dance and talk and pretend things were back to normal, when I knew it wasn’t. Under my eyes, she did a good job faking it, but I knew her more than she would ever admit. After two more hours, I felt like it was more than enough of me in the party. I was going to leave, but not without first getting to her.

The confidence and arrogance emanating from her expression could not be feigned. Zayn was happy for Roxanne because he knew that she actually came from a common family. Her parents were farmers, and now, she did not disappoint them. She started from scratch and eventually built her grand empire. It was very impressive of her. Kaiser opened the door for Roxanne before bowing and calling out respectfully, “Miss Harrison!” Moreover, in another Toyota Prado parked next to them, four burly men dressed in suits emerged and walked toward Roxanne in long strides before they addressed her respectfully as ‘Miss Harrison’. It was apparent that these were her bodyguards.

I huff quietly and do my best to ignore his leering eyes as he pushes the dazed woman away from him and licks the remaining blood from his lips. “Rosalyn is it? Don’t be shy and come stand beside your master,” Matthias says to me as he places his glass on a brown coaster on the coffee table. The way he calls Paul my master makes my skin prickle. Paul fists his hands but looks to me and nods for me to come stand beside him. My legs feel shaky as I step closer, keeping my head to the floor and hoping we won’t be here long. “Lift your head and look at me, Rosalyn. It’s rude not to look at someone when they speak to you,” Matthias demands calmly and I don’t like where this is going.

The door cracks open and a girl peeks in, looking around like she was expecting a dinosaur to be here. “He is not in Janice.” Jessica says patiently. Janice visibly sags and walks in, she drops down next to me. “Hello Janice, I'm Roxanne.” She blinks from behind her huge glasses, the glasses looked like it was more than two frames. Too heavy for her tiny body. “Janice meet my friend Roxanne, she is also pinning for a guy. Although I will never understand what you see in Cam.” Janice blushes like the Cam in question was here. I would gag but best not do it in front of her.

I said, knowing Rayne would sass back and I wanted them to know that she was not somebody to mess with. "I'm sorry, but as far as I know, you're a vampire, which is something that is not normal. I think you're classified as a supernatural, am I right?" I looked at Roland, smirking. He was doing his best not to laugh. That was my Rayne. "Teach her how to talk with emperors, Mr Harlow," Charlotte said with anger. "Trust me, I would have told her to apologize to you right away if I saw that she made a mistake, but the girl only reminded you that you're not normal, which is true. If you haven't noticed, we are supernatural creatures," I replied.
