CHAPTER 49 RUBY’S POV I arrived at the bookshop and as always, it was busy and filled with people. I walked in and took my time to walk around in search of Arnold but he wasn't there. So I met with a worker of his, who was busy placing new books on a shelf and she smiled at me when I called for her attention. “Hi, I'm Ruby Sinclair and a friend of the owner, Arnold Fusser. Did he perhaps come to work today?” I asked her, making sure to be careful with my choice of words and she nodded, that smile still on her face.
