Bellamy hissed as the liquid splashed up, burning his hands, leaving behind bright red blisters. Once the decanter was emptied, he placed his glowing hands over the place where the branding had been and began to mumble an incantation.

She quickly began to help the lady in hiding her weapons. "You are right" Linda agreed as an afterthought. Just then Blaze walked in with a mysterious smirk on his face. Linda bowed and excused herself, leaving the couple alone. "What happened?" Bella asked eying him with a smile. Blaze wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her towards him. She is wearing a black gown, which is the signature color of the dark realm. Her dress hugs her waist and flares down to her feet. The shimmery material is shimmering when the sunlight hits its surface.

Still Mavericks POV “Do you think the belladonna is doing the job, why is she still walking, should we have used the Wolfsbane?” he asked, sounding curious and stupid at the same time. I recognize that plant he just mentioned. It is called belladonna, and it is a type of nightshade plant that is poisonous to werewolves and humans. Belladonna is a slow poison, and Val still has a chance to survive it. But if they had used wolfsbane on her, her chances so survival would have been next to none. Who are these people, and what are they up to?

It pulls away, falling like stars of pure shadow. Ella rushes into the hallway. “No–what is he doing?” “Aunt Ella?” I edge toward the window as the power fizzles away. “Ryatt dropped his wards around Moonrise–” A blast of dark, shadowy power rushes around us, sending sparks whizzing through the air. The windows flex, nearly splintering, as Ryatt appears in a cloud of his dark mist, holding a battered woman around the waist. “Lavender?!” I scream, running toward them but slide to a stop when I notice the sheer amount of blood covering Ryatt from head to toe.
