“I’m sorry,” he whispered.
“It was all my fault. I’ve cut ties with her. I got rid of that woman.
“From now on, you’ll have full control over Kingston—no one will ever mistreat you again.
“Please, just give me another chance. We’ll move to another city and start over. I’ll make it up to you. I swear.”
