He dropped it on the table and beckoned for him to check it out. Sage didn't hesitate to open the book and began to scroll through it. "A mystic world where the unknown Seer is?" he questioned reading from the book. "To meet with him, a spell will be cast on me to fall into a misery nightmare?" he asked again with a confused look.

The rift in the astral plain began to groan as their lives shifted it once more. Sage had made it home late. She knew Jared was still at the shooting range. The group had been doing their best at living a normal life, but lately, it had become hard. Sage knew that she needed to read the books her father had revealed that awful night. Walking into the kitchen were the boxes that lay hap hazard Sage ran her fingertips across the one box that happened to be on the kitchen table. “Well, AJ time to get the show on the road. I have no idea what I am going to find out in them.” Muttered Sage. She ran her hand down AJ’s back and was greeted with a bark and a wag of his question mark shaped tail.

You can return anything to any of the other libraries. Once Sally was outside, she opened the book. Flashes of images starting running through her mind like a video on fast forward. Only these were images of the scrolls and certain symbols stood out to her. She was vaguely aware of her team trying to reach her, but it was like the book stole their speed. They were moving slower than in slow motion. The book was giving her the answers she needed and when it was done, she fell to the pavement and started to scream. Her head was pounding worse than a migraine.

And everything that happened before, who was I with? It can’t be that it was all just a hallucination! Even the wounds on my body are real. I picked up a thin, empty bag—like a tote bag—and transferred the ancient book from my work bag into it whilst Saga wasn’t looking. He was still talking to Alaric on the phone. Slowly, I crept out of the room, hoping Saga wouldn’t notice I’d left. Taking careful steps, I made my way to the end of the corridor, where I could see a large door.

He was fine for just a while ago, then what went wrong? my heart racing as Sage pleaded with me to leave. "Lyra, please; I don't want to hurt you. You have to go, now." But I couldn't move; I couldn't tear my eyes away from his desperate gaze. "Sage, what's happening to you?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. He growled, his eyes flashing with a feral light. "Just go, Lyra! Please!" But I stayed, my feet rooted to the spot, as Sage's body began to contort and shift. His eyes protruded, his nails lengthening into razor-sharp claws. I screamed as he pounced, pinning me to the ground with a snarl.

She took in her surroundings, noticing a shelf of books that contained strange spells. “You can check them. I can see your curiosity.” The sage urged her. “Thank you.” she bit her lower lip and walk in their contents until she came across one that she could not take her eyes from. “Potions for agony,” she read the name out and picked up the book, scanning through. “You can keep it if you want,” the sage offered and smiled, revealing a crooked tooth. “Thank you.” She caressed the back of the book and held it to her chest like her life depended on it.
