Startled, I get up from the bed and move toward the window, pulling back the curtain with trembling hands. Outside, under the moonlit sky, a large black wolf stands in the clearing. Its silhouette is striking against the silver light, casting a long shadow on the grass. The wolf’s eyes glow a deep, intense blue as it lifts its head and howls again, a sound that seems to resonate with the very essence of the night.

It was a blurry night as the heat was unbearable for Alice, not that the room is hot but she was feeling hot. The conversation she had earlier with her grandmother had taken her off the edge. One thing Alice know off and she is sure of is that she has no interest in marrying any of the princes.

I slipped on some socks and went over to the bed and checked the computer out. I knew how to use the computer, and that was all I cared about. Zaliver already hooked up the computer to the internet. I stared at the background for a bit. I was pretty sure it was a chosen background since computers were either usually black or had the company’s logo or some random nice photographic scenes, but this one didn’t quiet . . . The background was a night sky, highlighting the moon and clouds floating peacefully in front. I tilted my head, thinking Zaliver probably liked this kind of atmosphere.
