“Um, really?” I replied, double-checking the design. “I thought that magenta was the perfect color to make them pop against a coral and grey background. Adds vibrancy too.”
“No, orange would’ve been better,” Jennie replied, making my eyebrows raise.
“Orange does not match with the background color, Jennie.”
“Doesn’t it? What do you think, Hailey? Do you think magenta is better than orange?”
“No, of course not,” Hailey, who seemed to be Jennie’s closest friend, smirked. “Orange would be loads better.”
