The Rejected Luna

The Rejected Luna

“You can at least win the title of ‘Best Brother in the Woods.’” Kane shook his head with a faint smile. “More like ‘Loudest Hunter Alive.’ You’ll scare everything off before we even start.” Camila stuck her tongue out at him, then pulled her bow from her shoulder, striking a dramatic pose. “I’ll have you know, Lady Camila never misses her target.” “Except that one time you shot the scarecrow and hit the laundry line instead,” Gavin teased. Camila gasped. “That was one time! And it was windy!”

Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Debra crossed her arms. Andrew's smile didn't falter. "Once upon a time, there was a shepherd boy. He was bored while watching his sheep, so he decided to play a prank. He shouted, 'Wolf! Wolf!' The villagers dropped everything and rushed to help, only to find out the boy had lied. The second time, he played the same trick, and again, the villagers came running. This time, they were furious to be deceived. Finally, a real wolf came. The boy cried for help, louder than ever, but no one came. He and his sheep were left to the wolf."

I really like this book but why is it being dragged so much? Debra keeps getting herself in weird situations like the Island kidnapping and then her engagement kidnapping. I get the authors are paid by pages but if it’s too dragged then the readers eventually lose interest and move to finished books

Breaking the Barbaric Alpha

Breaking the Barbaric Alpha

Garold said, turning in his seat and staring at him. “It was more a story I was told as a kid. Like if you're bad they will kick you out of the pack and you will have to go join them in the dark forest. It’s a pack made up of rogues and the unwanted. I didn't think it was real.” Scott said, putting up his hand defensively. “I have never been told that or heard of a pack made of unwanteds. Maybe he is just using it as a way to scare us.” Garold said, turning back around.

Marked by the alpha's curse

Marked by the alpha's curse

Its wood was rotting, vines crawling over the walls. Looked and saw a disturbing number of crows perched along the broken fence. I stopped quickly, taking a closer look. My eyes widened. They didn't look like the normal crows you see. They looked strange. Each one had three eyes. One set into their foreheads, blinking slowly as they turned to watch me. Fear crawled up my spine. “They will not harm you,” the woman said calmly. “They are our ancestors. They see what others cannot. They warn us of danger.”

Finding Home: A Twin Shifter Romance

Finding Home: A Twin Shifter Romance

Ten-year-old Bree chimed as Emma looked over her shoulder worriedly. “That’s nice, sweetie. Why don’t you tell me about that mermaid story again?” “I hate that story. Can I tell the one about the wolf?” Bran chimed in. “Wolf?” Patrick asked as Brinna looked out the window and saw another animal running alongside their vehicle. “Yeah, the one that eats the girl in the red hood.” “Mommy, I don’t like that story. It is scary.” Bree snuck at the rolling landscape and saw the scary animal with sharp teeth sneering at her, so she pretended to look forward and saw her parents exchange a look.

HALLOWEEN

HALLOWEEN

The rays of sunlight were slowly creeping into her room through the window as she walked to the windows to bring down the curtains. She yawned and held the curtains as she saw a scarecrow outside the compound they shared with the kids in the neighborhood who were still building the scarecrow as a crow flew and perched on its head. "Of course! Tomorrow is Halloween! They are getting prepared" She studied the scarecrow and for a second, she thought that the scarecrow moved its head and was staring at her now. She flinched and moved backward. That was when she noticed that one of the kids was at the back of the scarecrow and was adjusting its head.

Beyond The Hallow Grave: Editingle Indie House Anthology (Ed

“Splendid!” The tall scarecrow walked on toward Town Hall, with his long, awkward stride. It was Mrs. Belfry who had brought the strange creature to Lilith’s Hollow. He was once human but nutty as a loon. It was a curse that transformed him into the scarecrow and, as calculated correctly by the witch, saved his sanity. The citizens of the town took him in with the same kindness and acceptance they showed to all new creatures.

A Night at Wildwood

A Night at Wildwood

It was late autumn when they arrived — the trees skeletal, the air thick with a kind of oppressive stillness that seemed to hum beneath the surface of the world. Emily Carter, a graduate student in folklore and urban legends, had heard the whispers about WildWood all her life. She had grown up just a few towns over and had spent years gathering the old stories: tales of the “vanishing patients,” the “howling trees,” and the “night doctors” said to stalk the forest paths. Determined to separate fact from myth, Emily organized an expedition for her thesis, enlisting a few brave companions:

Alpha Of The Night

Alpha Of The Night

“No ma’am. I am from another city in the West from this country. My family lives there but I came to Wizzletown in search of a better life since my family is poor and we can hardly afford to feed.” Kara listened carefully. Then the maid continued. “I met some guy who told me about an opportunity to make some money with some guys that called themselves the Scarecrows. He told me everything I wanted to hear and I was thrilled. He also mentioned that I was going to have to give up a lot and including my life to be able to enjoy those benefits. I didn’t care; all I wanted was to make money to feed my family back in my village. Little did I know that I was in for a surprise.” She narrated.
