Staring my reflection on it everything was blurred, I stared around, there were cobwebs. I could hear footsteps down the staircase leading to the basement, and faint laughs from children playing and running around, I cringed at each creak on the old stairs, the noise of the footsteps became calculated, I walked slowly and carefully towards the noise on the basement staircase, I was scared and I could feel goosebumps all over my skin. I froze when a shadow flickered and I across and back to the stairs, maybe it's nothing. I was scared and probably hallucinating, the only light that was present in the basement hall was of the moon. I didn’t want this to happen, I didn’t want anyone else to suffer because of my foolishness. “Ahh!!” I heard someone scream. I didn’t know there was another room in the basement, so I went there. “You’re helping them!! You’re worthless!!” I heard Mayora shout. “Please have mercy, I won’t do it again,” Sharmaine pleaded. I covered my mouth, crying silently. I couldn’t do anything—I was trapped in the basement too. “Omy g! A cockroach!!” I screamed, trembling in fear. I saw a rat, and my eyes widened.

It was eerily quiet in there, and the scent of musty dampness was heavy. I briefly wondered how old this place was. Everything seemed to be decaying in this basement. My mind went to all the creatures that could be crawling in here. Without my wolf, a bite from a brown recluse would harm me like a human. I shuddered but put it out of my mind as I briefly stumbled onto a more even part of the floor…

I get to the third house and make my way inside to search the house itself to see if anyone has been around here, but I do not find a thing. Now the basement, to say I am not scared shitless, would be a blatant lie; I know I can handle myself; I don't know what he is prepared to do, though. I truly believe his intention will be to eliminate me completely. Monsters don't get reinvented with a conscience. Where is the basement? There is no goddamn basement! What the fuck now? Wait, there is a barn. My heart is pounding out my chest; I think this must be it. I don't know if I should yank the door or just pull it.

The narrow corridor felt like a tomb, the pale lights overhead flickering intermittently, casting eerie shadows on the walls. Sherry's footsteps echoed down the cold concrete floor as she passed the holding cells, each lined with steel bars and flickering red lights. The captives inside sat motionless. Some leaned against the wall, others curled into themselves, trying to shield their broken spirits. It had been five days since Sherry was dragged into The Basement, the infamous underground lair of The Bone lake Syndicate.

Charlie passed a final glance filled with disgust at Skyla before screeching, "Come on, let's go!" With that, he reached the door of the basement. His finger slapped the switch, turning off the bulb and introducing pitch-blackness inside the basement. Skyla could hear the door being creaked open and several sets of footfalls stepped outside the basement before the door was banged shut, leaving Skyla in a state of solitude. Skyla got scared of being surrounded by darkness and that too in an unknown place. She dropped down inside the cage and pulled her knees close to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. With her head pulled down, Skyla bursted into tears and sobbed, "What should I do?"

But when they reached in their room it was all empty. They traced her scent and came across the basement. The very same basement in which they torture and kill others cruelly. The same basement where they show there brutality. When they found out Rose was here, they were angry on her. Extremely angry. If she by chance had went inside of the basement then she would have witnessed their cruelty on others. They know her fragile heart won't be able to bear it. The dead bodies inside, the smell of blood, the criminal supernaturals, the cries of people, everything will overwhelm her. She will surely become unconscious seeing all those things.
