The Last Howl
The zombie went limp instantly, but as it died, a wet, gargling roar tore from its throat, echoing loudly through the silent cabin.
"Inside! Move!" Alexander hissed, rushing past them into the dark room.
The roar had acted as a dinner bell. As we scrambled into the lodge, three more infected stumbled out from the back aisles of the store. They were fast, their milky red eyes locking onto our movement, their throats emitting high-pitched, terrifying screeches that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
