Under the Hallow Veil (Editingle Halloween Anthology)

Under the Hallow Veil (Editingle Halloween Anthology)

It infuriated Cassy more—with the night that’s the homecoming of the ghosts and horrors. A wicked laugh itched to be out, instead, she scrutinized the height. The distance between her and the ground did not harrow her. It amazed her at how different she’s lurking around where the normal people might not even stare without a wave of nausea washing over them. An urge to smoke-filled her; she fetched a pack from the inside pocket of her dark blue jacket; ignited the flame, mumbling, “Every legendary story is a pent-up frustration of human beings to invoke fear in the minds of those whom they hate. Several against one or one against many.”

The Son of Red Fang

The Son of Red Fang

Surprisingly, no one bothers to get up but what happens next ends up being my own undoing. The most terrified screams I have ever heard, outside of my own, echo off the trees. I grab my ears with both hands fighting my desire to black out or flee as so often for the last four months those screams were merely echoes of my own past. These were real. Something was happening inside that cabin and I’m the only one here.

The details can get to be a bit much in the beginning but it’s important. I promise. Great story. Wonderfully built characters. Definitely a much deeper and richer read than I was expecting from this app. LOVE.

It was physically painful to keep reading—but I don't mean that in a negative way. I connected with all of the characters. I loved the book. However, it takes a truly strong mentality to read such traumatic content. I used to consider myself one of those people, but this book shattered my heart.

Contract with the lycan king

Contract with the lycan king

I still try to hear something, nothing follows, but my heart refuses to slow down. The cabin has four visible rooms - the main living area with the kitchen, and three small bedrooms. The cabin looks so small from outside , I don't know how it looks so big inside - again, it is magic. I proceed to do a thorough search of all the rooms, looking for potential escape routes or hiding places- I need to think ahead. The bedrooms all contain comfortable-looking beds with fresh bed sheets, small wardrobes and I am tempted to sleep in them.

The Night The Vampires Came

The Night The Vampires Came

Anyway, he kept saying that there are horrible creatures that lurk in the darkness here… While growing up he told me the story of the time when he was ten years old, his dog ran out of his family home—this townhome, the home I’m just about my home until my dad gets out of jail and the social worker says I can go back. He goes on and says that he watched his dog die that night being eaten alive by a wolf-like humanoid that he himself barely made it back home to safety. Then there were these stories of the locals being blood-sucking vampires and all the BS surrounding that subject. Oh and the witches of the forest and the great lake—supposedly they lure pregnant women to their deaths and drown

For a bite

For a bite

-Your grip hurts, asshole," I tried to pull away, but he wouldn't let go. He was going too far. -Elder! -I exclaimed, but I tripped over a tree root and fell to my knees. -Get up," he helps me up. -You're a savage! -I exclaimed. -We're almost there. -You're a little man, a fool who doesn't know how to treat women! You're a...! -We're here. When I see in front of me I am surprised to realize that it was the cabin from the other time, the one where I had witnessed deaths. I still remember the trunk there, the dead girl inside it. I still remember the scream of the other one and the huge wolf coming out and killing her. It was then that I began to feel fear, fear of this place, fear of being he

THE ALPHA'S CURSED LUNA

THE ALPHA'S CURSED LUNA

Some of them stand in packhouses and call you the reason their mate is dead. And some of them, maybe, are not monsters at all. Just stories. Just fear. But I do not know which story is true. And that might be the scariest part. --- Night falls. The group makes camp in a valley between two mountains. The guards give me more bread and a blanket. I curl up in the corner of the wagon and try to sleep. I cannot. The stories circle in my head like angry bees. He killed ten rogues with his bare hands.

A Night at Wildwood

A Night at Wildwood

It was late autumn when they arrived — the trees skeletal, the air thick with a kind of oppressive stillness that seemed to hum beneath the surface of the world. Emily Carter, a graduate student in folklore and urban legends, had heard the whispers about WildWood all her life. She had grown up just a few towns over and had spent years gathering the old stories: tales of the “vanishing patients,” the “howling trees,” and the “night doctors” said to stalk the forest paths. Determined to separate fact from myth, Emily organized an expedition for her thesis, enlisting a few brave companions:

121 Days With My Mate

121 Days With My Mate

As the stories got scarier, I noticed a few of the younger pack members huddling closer to their parents, seeking comfort and reassurance. Soon, it was my turn to share a story. Feeling the weight of the moment, I cleared my throat and began my tale. "In a small village, there was a haunted mansion. It was said that the spirit of a vengeful witch roamed the halls, seeking revenge on anyone who dared to enter her domain..." I let my imagination run wild, conjuring spine-chilling scenes and mysterious characters. The pack leaned in closer, their eyes wide with fascination, hanging onto every word I spoke. The suspenseful atmosphere made my heart race with excitement.

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

The few bears that still roamed the mountains were all hibernating comfortably in their dens. It could have been worse, Nicky and Teri knew—they could have been forced to share a tent with their eight-year-old brothers instead of with each other. But thankfully, the boys were in tents with their dads. The six of them had spent the last couple hours sitting around a blazing campfire, taking turns telling scary stories. Most of the stories were pretty lame, but Teri’s father raised some goose bumps with a tale of a crazed psychopath who preyed on campers, dragging them from their tents back to a cave where he slowly ate them alive. By the time he was done, the youngsters found themselves peeki

"YESTERDAYS"_history uncaged

"YESTERDAYS"_history uncaged

At that moment I believed that the ghost of my husband was very much still with us because throughout the entire scandal and now we were unseen and remained not attacked. The Zombies looked towards my direction and yet never seemed to be bothered in tearing me and my child whom I had covered with my cloth apparel so that no one would notice. I was heavily terrified and needed some where to grab some fresh air, the cabin was really dirt of blood stains everywhere and I could tell the smell of a human flesh it was so raw and irritating that made me want to throw up. I used the rest of my energy to keep my mouth shut from screaming out and managed the uncomfortable serenity that I had found
