Whispers of the Devil

Whispers of the Devil

“Do you think it’s haunted?” My breath sticks in my chest at her words. Before I can say anything, Jack laughs. “Don’t be stupid. Of course it isn’t haunted.” “Some people think it is,” I counter. “There have always been stories about this place, about the swamp.” The woman pauses as an uneasy shadow flickers across her delicate features. “What kind of stories?” she presses. Jack once again cuts me off. “Who gives a shit?” he chuckles. “Ghosts, witches, werewolves–that’s all kid stuff. The only thing we should be afraid of is the IRS.”

He Stole My Heart

He Stole My Heart

It doesn't light the room brightly but gave a dim glow to the room. The movie started, it's about a group of friends who are planning to go to a cabin in the woods for a weekend getaway. But once they reach there, they feel like they are being watched, unseen voices and ghosts lurking in the house, things go missing and the atmosphere turns eerily creepy, two of their friends are found mysteriously dead. It's so scary that I stopped watching the movie and now am looking at my phone. I'm feeling scared even hearing the unnerving background sounds without watching.

The space between the wrong

The space between the wrong

It looks like the setting of a horror movie, or a memory I’ve tried to suppress. "Are you sure about the floorboard?" Cole asks. "He used to hide my birthday presents there," I say. I’m staring out the window at the familiar peaks. "He called it the 'Vault of Secrets.' I thought it was a game. I didn't realize it was training." We reach the cabin at sunset. It’s a small, weathered structure painted a fading, peeling red. It looks abandoned. The windows are dark, reflecting the cold purple sky. We get out of the car. The silence up here is absolute, broken only by the crunch of our boots on the frozen ground. Cole stays close to me, his hand resting on the small of my back as we reach the por

Unholy Cravings-a Sinful Obsession

Unholy Cravings-a Sinful Obsession

Monsters ----------------------- June 5th and 6th, 1985 - The Cabin "What kind of bad dreams?" "Promise...promise not to think I'm weird? Or make fun of me?" "I promise." "O...ok. So, it's like that night? Except I'm older, and I'm walking out to the rock with...with someone. I'm scared, but I trust them. It's the things. Those eyes! They're all around us, and they keep touching me, brushing against me. I can't see them but I feel their cold fingers pass through my clothes and I know...I know that if they take me, I'll die. I'll die afraid and cold and alone."

Troubled Heart

Troubled Heart

She knows the story but doesn’t care that this is what makes me feel comfortable and safe. As I glanced around the cabin, I felt that childhood fear creeping in. Logically, I could tell the cabin was under four hundred square feet, but it felt like it was getting smaller by the second. My breathing became shallow the more my brain thought about being trapped in this cabin. Pockets whimpered, pressing his fluffy body against my legs to comfort me.

Bryant truly is such a gifted writer. This is another great story that is absolutely worth a read! Loved the characters/their personalities and the differences they brought to the table that balanced each other out beautifully. As always author - job well done! Cant wait for more from you :)

Great read. As always, Author Bryant keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just enough spice to be spicy but not too much. I love that everything Bryant puts in her books has a purpose. There isn’t a spicy scene just to have one. Everything builds for the storyline and characters. Another 5 star.

Contracted To Marry The Alpha King

Contracted To Marry The Alpha King

Fear gnawed at her insides, threatening to overwhelm her. Suddenly, Adrian skidded to a halt, his eyes widening in alarm. "Look," he muttered, pointing ahead. Samantha followed his gaze and gasped in horror. Before them stood a dilapidated cabin, its windows boarded up and its roof caved in. It looked like something straight out of a nightmare. "We have no choice," Adrian said grimly. "We'll have to take our chances inside." With trembling hands, Samantha pushed open the creaky door, revealing a dark interior shrouded in shadows. The air was musty and thick with dust, sending a shiver down her spine.

Doomsday: The End Of Time

Doomsday: The End Of Time

"Where is here? " Mae looked at Sandra again and then threw me a frustrated geek. "This isn't working," I said fleeing the little room but I had to admit, I was kind of surprised they didn't call me back or stop me. From my brief survey, I noticed the cabin was larger than normal, it was almost like a mansion but with that rustic touch of old bamboo logs. I didn't count the number of doors I walked past but I was sure it was more than five. Eureka! I sighted what seemed to be the exit door of the strange-looking cabin and ran towards it. Just as I was about to grab the handle of the door, a voice scared me shitless.

The She Billionaire In Boy’s Blazer

The She Billionaire In Boy’s Blazer

Sonia couldn’t help but wonder if the world beyond this small cabin would ever feel normal again. The safe house sat on the edge of a thick forest, its old timber frame creaking every time the wind picked up. She pressed her palm against the cold glass of the window, staring at the mist curling like smoke through the trees. The memory of Daxton’s halls, the screams, the stench of burning, clung to her like a second skin.

Last Year Of High School

Last Year Of High School

We started setting up tents and sleeping bags. A little after dark, we began roasting smores, laughing and telling stories. "Okay, I got a good one, the story of the swamp boogey monster." Trent said. "Heard it, it's not scary" Kayla dismissed. "I assure you its a certified scare alright" Trent bragged.
