He paused and handed me a book, one filled with symbols, wolves, and pack markings.
“I want you to look through this.”
I picked up an apple and took a bite as I flipped through the pages. Packs, Luna, Alpha.
I stopped.
The tiny piece of apple slipped from my mouth.
“W–wait,” I stammered. “You’re an Alpha? I don’t understand. Are you… living some kind of fiction?”
He didn’t answer immediately.
My heart was already pounding wildly over a book I didn’t fully understand.
“I want to show you something,” he said at last. “If you get scared, run to Scar and ask him to take you home. I will never hurt you, Lisa. Just know that.”
