Fred whewed as soon as Manchi was out of sight. "Yeah. So, what ya gonna do now?" Jameson asked in anticipation and looked at Fred waiting for a positive response. Fred didn't have any plan in mind, but he knew that Manchi's presence could mean the death of Beatrix anytime soon. Fred racked his head so hard that he wouldn't have been able to count his to and fro steps. Deriving a plan for almost any case wasn't really a big deal for Fred as he had served in the Militia and had worked alongside the top detectives in the city. Fred was quite a figure.

Taking a very deep breath in, I prepared myself mentally for whatever the day could come with, but definitely not for what I saw next. A cyber truck, parked in between two spaces, a guy with a loose tie, and one leg out of the door looked straight at us, behind his sunglasses. “I wanna pee.” Freda said, and scampered away with my bag, laptop and her own stuff too. So much for big energy.

He managed to speak. It then dawned on Sylvia that Fred had presented items that could help the Wells with their case. Meanwhile, Fred got some of the items from Officer Darcey whom he had been working with for the past months to find more evidence on June and find out who her mysterious Godfather was. “I’ll go get my phone,” Sylvia said and hurried out of the room. Fred turned away and shut his eyes. He was aching all over and the heat in his body could cook a meal. He could feel death calling to him but before then, he was ready to do everything he can to ensure June and her Godfather are exposed.

Wibur moved in closer and pulled my hair to look up at him, "She's only with you cus of this face, ain't that right Freddy?" he said to his buddy and I spat in his face, if he wasn't angry before then he was definitely angry now. He wiped my saliva of his face and scowled at me, "Maybe I should mark up that pretty face." he suggested and looked at Bert for affirmation.

Fred asks as he sits in front of me, crossing his leg, and Dylan shakes his head, walking straight to the bar area. “He walked in without knocking. I could be on a phone call, busy with something. That’s not how you were raised,” I say, and Richard laughs as Dylan shows me the middle finger. “A little early to drink, don’t you think?” I ask and he shows me the finger again as he drains the glass of scotch he poured for himself. “How are you, Fred?” I ask and he shrugs his shoulder. “I could be better if I wasn’t being accused of a crime I didn’t commit and my girlfriend wasn’t getting paranoid around me,” he says as he shrugs and I feel real and for Fred.

And yet, they found just enough common ground to stand on. Fred glanced down at his phone as it buzzed in his hand. His brows drew together slightly. “Looks like I’ve got to run,” he said, slipping the phone back into his pocket. “Something’s come up at the office.” He turned toward me with a polite smile. “Vienna, thanks for that lifesaver earlier. You were great today—on camera and off.” I chuckled softly. “You weren’t so bad yourself. Thanks for trying with the tire.” Fred gave a playful wince. “Yeah, I’ll stick to spatulas, not jacks.”

Julian Pov: Fred crossed his arms, leaning slightly forward. “Now, this is interesting. Why the sudden interest in Samantha, if I may ask?” I cleared my throat, attempting to sound casual. “No particular reason. Just... curiosity.” Fred didn’t buy it, his smirk widening. “Curiosity, huh? Well, let me see what I can find.” He pulled out his phone, scrolling through his contacts. “You know, sir, Samantha didn’t exactly seem like a fan of yours. Are you planning to apologize or something?”

I say, and he shakes his head as he rests one hand on my shoulder. “Hey little one, my name is Fred, do you want to go home in a car like Batman’s?” Fred asks Grace and she pulls her head up from my shoulder looking at him and clearing her tears with the sleeves of her jacket. “Yes?” she says, and he smiles. “Come on then,” he says, and she nods as she stays where she is in my arms. I follow Frederick down the steps and the guys are nowhere to be seen. “Hey Alan, did you see the guys following my friend?” Frederick asks the doorman, and he looks at me and then at him and nods.

NOVARIA’S POV Fredo leaned back in his chair, the tip of his cigarette glowing orange in the dim office light. Smoke curled lazily through the air, thick and bitter, but Sylvester barely reacted to it anymore. His attention remained fixed on the files spread across the desk in front of him, though his mind was clearly somewhere else. Fredo studied him for a moment before scoffing quietly. “So that’s it?” he asked. “You bring a girl into a mafia mansion, call her family, and expect me not to ask questions?”
