Denzel pulled back, a look of concern etching onto his face. "Nira, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice tinged with worry. Nira's eyes widened, pupils dilating as an otherworldly scream tore through the air. Denzel caught off guard, was abruptly propelled out of the car by the sheer force of Nira's scream. The intensity of her scream sent shockwaves, shattering glass windows, car windshields, and the fragile bulbs illuminating the lively scene. The music from the live band performers was instantly replaced with the blaring sound of car alarms.

And then, a sudden fear detonated inside his brain and the loud ring echoed inside his ear. He lifted his head to the air promptly while folding his legs on the ground uncomfortably and opened his bloodshot eyes, bulging wide, it looked like it would escape the socket. His fingers curled up, the contact of the nails and the floor made a creepy sound. His neck craned to the sky as the veins swelled under the skin. KAGHHHHHHH~~~~~! The sudden scream of James flinched everyone except the three people who had mastered this sickening game.

She needed someone who would guide her. Someone who would help her. Her head snapped upright suddenly as a loud, deafening sound filled the air. The noise pierced her ears, making her wince. The sound continued to grow louder and louder, shaking her whole being, until it became impossible for her to hear anything else except for the terrible shrieking noise that was echoing around her and reverberating inside of her skull.

Like the person was now even more desperate to get through the door. Then the scream came. There was only one screaming, smacking, skin crushing against something. I couldn’t understand it. The person screaming... his voice was clear as day, but the violent sounds were just as loud. If his face was being hit then his voice would have cracked, or muffled.

I got up, thinking of going to the kitchen for a glass of water, but as my fingers touched the doorknob, a strange sound echoed from outside. “What’s that?” I pressed my ear to the door, holding my breath and focusing on the sounds beyond it. A low whimper emerged, like that of a wounded animal, followed by a scream. I jumped back, my heart racing as the screams continued until they abruptly stopped. I covered my mouth with my hands, stifling the scream and tears trying to escape my throat. Heavy footsteps echoed through the mansion’s silence. A cracking sound rang out, followed by muffled groans. It was like hearing a dry branch being snapped, over and over.

The blade reflected the moonlight as he growled angrily, bringing it down. I squeezed my eyes shut in fear. Then a deafening ringing exploded inside my head. I screamed as the super-loud sound became unbearable. It felt like my skull was splitting into two. The noise vibrated through every bone in my body. I couldn't bring my hands to cover my ears as they remained bound on the platform I laid on. The rage. Pain. Grief. Sorrow. That were pent up inside me exploded at once. Another loud scream tore out of me as every ounce of pain I had carried. Every tear. Every heartbreak.

“Who the hell are those people?Ethan sobbed ,his head tucked between his knees. “Noah, what the hell is that sound?” The sound was back. That whistling, screaming noise of the bullets. They were flying past the windows, leaving trails of shimmering white smoke in the air. Every time one got close, the “gold” in my head flared up, a blinding flash of warning that made my teeth ache.

Her chest twisted violently. Kai screamed in her face. “LENA!” She snapped back and jumped. Kai dropped after her just as the train roared above them. The noise was unbearable. The tunnel shook. Dust rained over them. The tiny underground space felt like it would collapse. Tess screamed nonstop.
