Script For Shifting Novels & Stories

This was only my second full shift and I expected it to be excruciatingly painful like it was in the woods, but it wasn't. Oh for sure it hurt like a bitch every time one of my bones snapped and broke, but by the time the bone had reshaped itself and set again in its new place, the pain was gone. This shift took less than 60 seconds. I'd watched many of Tristan's pack shift, and Landon was the fastest shifter they had, but even he took longer than 2 minutes to fully shift. I guess the hunter side of me sped up the process, whatever the reason I damn well loved it. The thought of being able to shift in mere seconds was such an ego boost, I could just imagine the shocked look on Tristan's face

“Shift.” “What? No,” she pouts, “Did you forget I’m pregnant?” Every five minutes, she reminds the world she’s pregnant, so how could I forget? “Shifting is not advisable in the early stages of pregnancy, so do it,” I tell her, leaning against the tree. “That's the first step of getting you with my brother.” “I’m scared.” “We discussed this, Sera,” I sigh. “You have to get rid of that thing if you want any shot at starting over. You can’t go on a date smelling like another man’s pup.”

Oh, well. “Are there any close neighbors?” I ask. “Yeah. But ‘close’ is different for us. Because we can . . .” “Transform into wolves?” “No. Well, yeah, but . . .” His cheeks have an olive tinge. God, I think he’s blushing. Because of course they’d flush green. “Shift. We call it shifting. We don’t become something else. We just kind of toggle between two settings.” This time I do smile, keeping my lips sealed. “Love the coding references.”

Mal said, trying not to look excited, “I figured out how to shift today.” Nate and I just stared at her. “The fuck you say!” Nate found his voice first. The girls nodded. “Mina helped me. She told me about her first shift, and how it felt afterward to shift. It made sense, so I tried it. I visualized the animal I wanted to be, and just breathed into that shape. It was really simple.” “Mallory Braedon,” I was stunned. “Congrats!” I jumped up and down, then I gave her a huge hug.

"What I'm about to do is called shifting. It's fast, so don't be scared, okay?" My lips downturn. Wind sweeps through the forest canopy, drowning out all other sounds. There's only the swishing and rustling of branches as they shake more orange and brown leaves free. "You ready?" She calls over the wind. I hold onto myself as though I'm tipping over the peak of a rollercoaster. There's no going back now, so I say, "Just do it."

I can't help but feel drawn to this being, a strange emotion tightening my chest. I clear my throat nervously. At this sound, the Shifter jumps, as if waking up from a restless sleep. It starts to back away, and even though it looks like a ghost, I can feel a little fear emanating from the creature. "Don't worry... I... won't hurt you. I venture a little closer, watching its movements. Surprisingly, it almost seems to recognize my words, stopping its jerky movements and opening its wide eyes. I don't feel frightened, or even intimidated. As if in a trance, I continue to walk toward the Shifter until I am only inches away.

I just want us to not force the rogue with violence.” “Hmm…let’s see about that” he smirked, turning to the cells he launched his self against the cell door “SHIFT NOW ROGUE” he commanded. The wolf began shifting fast, his bones snapping and reshaping. “SLOWER, SHIFT SLOWER”

It's hard to believe that the rumors are true, but people don't know the half of it. Ambrose is sitting in his usual spot, eating his breakfast absently as I come in. "Morning," I say, taking my seat beside him. He grins at me. "You're feeling better?" "So is your thing," I say gesturing to him. "Is it like a full moon thing? You can only shift under the full moon?" Ambrose laughs and the sound lifts my heart higher. "No. I can shift whenever I choose. The need to shift is stronger with the changes of the moon, but they aren't linked together."

As the mist was getting closer I could feel the goosebumps rising on my skin and the hair stand up on the back of my neck. "Shift now. Something isn't right." I say. "Agreed. You go first." Tyler says. So I had to block everything else out. I concentrated to picture myself with paws and a snout and fur and then it started happening. I let out a scream when the first bone broke and rearranged and then the next and the next. It took about 10 minutes for me to shift which was really painful but as soon as it was over, Tyler shifted in seconds and we both took off into the woods.

The skin from his shoulder, up his neck and onto his jaw is glowing. If he shifts in here Imelda will be hurt. We are packed in tightly as it is without Gabe’s giant wolf. Ezekiel is one of the most restrained wolves I’ve come across, but he is struggling right now. The shifting process triggers muscle tissue and bone regeneration, so when we are injured, shifting helps speed up the healing process. Whatever is happening to Gabe must be excruciating, I can see it in his eyes. He is fighting to keep Zeke inside for Imelda’s sake.
