Faye nodded, then lay on the bed with a tired sigh. She caught something move out of the corner of her eye and turned robotically to get a better look. It was a cockroach. Letting out a loud scream, Faye jumped off the bed—and straight into Ryuu's arms.

I see him crouch low, body coiled, muscles waiting and ready to strike at the first sign of hostility. Then I see him. A boy. Probably a couple years younger than Casimir and I. But he was no ordinary boy...he was a Lycan. He's muddy and bleeding, his clothes torn, and his hair hanging in wet clumps around his face. He raises his hands, a broken gesture of surrender as Casimir looms over him with a glare. "Casimir," I pant, catching to them, "wait." The Lycan chokes out a few words, raspy and desperate. "Please. Pushing back against the Lycans, I sprinted towards her, a streak of fur and determination. But the Outstanding Lycan, undeterred by my advancement, intercepted me with blinding speed. His crimson eyes bore into mine, a chilling calmness settling upon his face. "You're too late, Levi," he sneered. "By the time you reach her, she'll be nothing but a memory." A surge of desperation coursed through me, lending strength to my limbs. With a primal roar, I launched myself at the Outstanding Lycan, our bodies colliding in a furious clash. Claws met claws, teeth clashed against teeth as we fought for dominance.

Mirabel said and Stella nodded as she swallowed in fear. “Come on let’s move on, we don't have much time on our side,” Mirabel added as she helped Stella hold onto her brother and they kept on moving while Lucky kept on groaning in pain from the injury he got on his stomach during the attack.
