Marriage First, Mate Second
I turn to find her, but when I do, she sprays my face with something.
I immediately start coughing. I fall to the floor, dizzy and teary-eyed, feeling my breathing quicken by the minute.
In an instant everything becomes a terrible blur. I feel like I can't control my body, as it has become heavy, like a rock. I can't breathe, so I have to open my lips to inhale and exhale.
My eyes burn, but I manage to open them. When I do I see Summer, standing in front of me.
She walks to the door and locks it. Then she comes closer. She holds a glass of water in her hand.
