I could see her glaring at me from where she stood by the entrance, but I ignored her entirely. I stopped by the doorway, touching my nightshade pendant with two fingers as I scanned the crowd for Tyler. I didn’t spot him right away. But I did spot them. Kade and Serena were already on the dance floor with the other couples, swaying to the soft orchestral music. Serena was dressed in the most decadent pink gown I’d ever seen; it was actually quite exquisite, like something out of an art piece. The exact sort of thing that a Luna would wear.

“Let’s just say I’ve got some connections. You’d be amazed at the circles I move in.” She chuckles, but there’s still a bit of tension in her shoulders, and I can tell she’s feeling out of her depth. I shift in my seat, nodding toward the dance floor where a fast-paced song is thumping through the speakers. “Come on, let’s dance,” I say, standing up and offering her my hand. “Loosen up a little.” Serena looks up at me, hesitant at first, but then she sighs, taking my hand. “Fine. But if I trip in these heels, I’m blaming you.”

And so, she let her mother guide her down the rock and off it, before they headed back to their rented cottage at a little forest not very far from the heart of the city. And while she lay on her mother's laps that night, at the balcony of the little cottage, awaiting her father who was away for a meeting with the Alpha King, little Carida watched the stars in the dark night and full moon, smiling enthusiastically as her mother caressed her silky black hair and told her the tale of the renowned 'Moonlight Serenade' that had started at the waterfall of Elgarion, several decades ago. "Serena, do you doubt me, too? Do you also think all of this is my fault?" Serena hesitated but ultimately got to reassuring her. "Claire, we all know what you want to achieve. You want to make contemporary dance better, but we don't need to resort to such means. You're a dancer, and you shouldn't get involved in these worldly matters. SERENA’S POV: I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my dress. Why I'm I so nervous? It's not like I'm going to see his dead parents. Vincent had bought a purple dinner gown for me for the evening, with a sapphire necklace. Wow, this is beautiful. I can't believe Vincent got me this just for a dance. “Serena, are you ready”? This was not his kind of place, it was way too loud and the music was playing some kind of love song about heartbreak, everyone was wearing jeans, cowboy boots and hat. Serena was already moving to the best of the music and turning to Sebastian with a smile, " dance with me" she said, taking his hand, tried to steer him towards the dance floor. "No, I can't dance to this, let's grab a seat and order some wine" When the bartender came over, she ordered some beer, another thing Sebastian wasn't used to, he hadn't had beer since his teen years, he look around the room at everyone having fun, he could see Serena watching them dancing and he started feeling guilty.

Was she lost and needed his help for some reason? "I am Serena and you are?" she asked. "Noah," he said. "Would you like to dance with me?" she walked closer and gave me a sultry smile.
