Serena agreed and we stood up and walked to the dancefloor. "That dude is checking you out, he's not taking his eyes off you, see, he's approaching," Serena said, almost yelling so I could hear her. I turned and our gaze met. "Hey, I'm Marcus, can I dance with you" He said, flashing me a smile. His smile was contagious I must say. "Sure," I said and smiled back at him. He took my hands and we began to dance to the rhythm of the music. The music builds to a crescendo and we both swayed our bodies in sync with one another.

I lean against the cold marble pillar of the balcony, closing my eyes for a moment as I let the image replay. Serena in her white dress, her lips parting in shock, the tremble of her hands as she realized her nightmare still walks. Perfect. I whisper into the empty air, the words curling like smoke from a dying flame. “Run, little bird. Run as far as you like. “So yes, I want to see if you’re capable of more than… dancing.” I clenched my fists so tight my nails dug into my palms.. Everyone in this cursed Pack probably knew by now. Mira looked up and smiled. "The dance contest tonight," Serena said suddenly. "Josh and I are thinking we should enter as a couple." The idea struck me as interesting. "It's a good idea," I told Serena, then I looked at Mira. "We should enter, too." "No," she blurted. "Why not?" "Because I don't dance." She picked up her fork and went back to her food like the conversation was over. "You fight shifters twice your size," I said. "You're telling me dancing is too scary?"

Soon, a low, vibrating hum filled the air. He brought the device to my ankle and slid it upward. The tingling sensation surged through me, reaching deep within me. I felt like my whole body was on fire. "This is the second session. The vibration helps stimulate the energy within you and get it moving." Henry ran the vibrating toy from my ankle to my knee, then to my inner thighs. He held the device there, continuously circling the area.
