Seren closed its eyes, and as it began to sing, a sense of tranquility settled over the clearing. The lullaby floated through the air, its melody intertwining with the rustling leaves and the gentle hum of nature. The pack members felt the weight of their worries and burdens lifted, replaced by a deep sense of calm and serenity. The enchanting notes wove through their beings, mending the cracks within their spirits and infusing them with a renewed vitality. Emily closed her eyes, tears of gratitude pooling at the corners. "Seren, your voice is like a balm to our souls. We have faced countless challenges, and this melody reminds us of the strength and beauty that lies within."

After dessert, the staff cleared the table. Serena asked the staff where the pond was, and she ambled in that direction. Once she got there, the sight was magnificent and left her speechless. There was a huge artificial waterfall, decorated with pebbles and plants, and fairy lights, and there were tiny bridges on the pond that led to the other side and the fishes... There were tons of them, of different sizes and colors. The sight before her was heart-warming because she always loved such things. She was so in awe of those swimming creatures as she crouched down, dipping her hand in the water and trying to caress the fish who'd scurry away quickly, making her smile.

I open my mouth and begin to sing. The sound that leaves my throat is a low, ethereal hum. A soft flowing Fae melody that carries no words, only a rhythmic warmth which carries a soothing resonance. Almost like a gentle breeze rustling through a forest, one that is steady and calm. Beside me, I watch as the tight, rigid lines of King Sven’s jaw slowly begin to relax. His breathing deepens, matching the slow tempo of my Serenade. He shifts slightly, now resting his head on my chest. And it makes my heart skip a beat, but I do not stop serenading him.

Matthew and Serenity have come out for a run, they have been sitting on top of a broken wooden log which overlooks the stream and the waterfall. It's so peaceful out here, the chirping of the birds and flapping of their wings accompanied by the sound made by the crickets. The water from the waterfall falls on to the stream in a steady pace never once breaking the rhythm which causes ripples to form on the water in a circular motion. They have been sitting in silence for the past half hour just looking into the scenery before them, both lost in their own thoughts.

Armaan removed his jacket & tie and opened the first two buttons of his shirt. Armaan picked up the glass of water and emptied it, a drop of water trickled down from the corner of his lips to his jawline then to his Adam apple to his seductive collarbone, and vanished in his shirt. Reese's eyes never left that drop…she gulped and closed her eyes… “Why the hell I am acting like a pervert?” She said to herself in her mind. This action didn’t go unnoticed by Armaan; his lips curved little knowing his effect on her.

Now however, luck had presented them with the opportunity to seize The Golden Serpent with the full set of gems. Theobald and Laria had had to put their family at risk to give credibility to the capture. The High Priestess had received a message in a trance from the Goddess Noor, demanding that such risk be taken. The plan was to make a fair attack in the middle of the ceremony, free the captives and get the gems.

She wanted love. Just as Crystal was beginning to try to push Nathan off her, she looked up and saw that Serenity was standing in the doorway with an empty glass in her hand. From the look on her face, Crystal guessed that she had been standing there for at least a few minutes. Serenity’s eyes met Crystal’s, and then they fell to the floor in embarrassment. “I j-just w-wanted more w-water,” Serenity stammered. “I’ll g-get it f-from the b-bathroom. I’m so-sorry to have b-bothered you.” Serenity turned around, but Crystal stopped her before she could leave.

The bathroom was quiet. I made not one sound as I turned on the tap, cupping water and lowering my wave to wash. The taste of Nero’s essence lingered on my tongue, and I grabbed the toothbrush half-blindly, almost crazed in my movements to squeeze out the toothpaste onto its bristles. Not even the taste of mint toothpaste could wash off his touch. I spat the water I’d gargled into the bathroom sink, feeling the droplets of water cool my face.

Seren breathed. She thought about the creek. The same water and not the same water. She thought: I am the water. She thought: the function is the creek. She thought: the creek runs. She thought: it runs whether or not any specific volume of water knows it is part of the creek. She thought: but it helps to know.
