Their desire, attention, love enveloped me, a warm tide washing over every inch of me. Each man alternated, overlapped, teasing, claiming, worshiping, grounding, adoring. I gasped, trembled, laughed, shivered, letting every nerve ending ignite. Nikolai’s strength held me steady while Nadei’s playful teasing coaxed surrender. Nial’s calm, deliberate movements grounded me even as Arsen whispered words that made my chest ache and burn.

She sat on the grass beside the stone bench and looked at the gold flowers. "I have been writing," Seren said. "Not names—a different book. About Clara. About the garden. About the watcher's love." Morwen looked at her. "What will you call it?" Seren was quiet for a moment. "I do not know yet. Something simple. The Witness. Or The One Who Stayed." Morwen nodded. "She would like that." Seren's tears fell onto the grass. "I miss her." Morwen reached down and took her hand. "I miss her too. But she is not gone. She is in the flowers. In the roots. In the watcher."

And then I jolted awake, my heart racing, my skin damp with sweat.

Because now— They felt true. Serena closed her eyes briefly. “I don’t know what I’m doing anymore,” she admitted. The words felt heavier than anything she’d said before. Because this time— She meant them truly. A soft breeze passed through, brushing against her skin. For a moment— Just a moment— It almost felt like peace. Like she could stay there and like nothing else existed beyond that river and beyond..that silence. The branch snapped behind her. Serena’s eyes opened instantly.

“Or are you planning on doing something to quiet me?” “No,” Serenity gasps, her eyes growing wide. When she looks like that, she reminds me so much of Denali, and it makes my heart squeeze. “Come with me.”
