I open my mouth and begin to sing. The sound that leaves my throat is a low, ethereal hum. A soft flowing Fae melody that carries no words, only a rhythmic warmth which carries a soothing resonance. Almost like a gentle breeze rustling through a forest, one that is steady and calm. Beside me, I watch as the tight, rigid lines of King Sven’s jaw slowly begin to relax. His breathing deepens, matching the slow tempo of my Serenade. He shifts slightly, now resting his head on my chest. And it makes my heart skip a beat, but I do not stop serenading him.

Arsen pressed into me from the front, hips nudging, lips brushing my jaw, whispering possessive, husky promises that made me tremble. Hours stretched. Their desire, attention, love enveloped me, a warm tide washing over every inch of me. Each man alternated, overlapped, teasing, claiming, worshiping, grounding, adoring. I gasped, trembled, laughed, shivered, letting every nerve ending ignite. Nikolai’s strength held me steady while Nadei’s playful teasing coaxed surrender. Nial’s calm, deliberate movements grounded me even as Arsen whispered words that made my chest ache and burn.

And then I jolted awake, my heart racing, my skin damp with sweat.

“Or are you planning on doing something to quiet me?” “No,” Serenity gasps, her eyes growing wide. When she looks like that, she reminds me so much of Denali, and it makes my heart squeeze. “Come with me.”

Because now— They felt true. Serena closed her eyes briefly. “I don’t know what I’m doing anymore,” she admitted. The words felt heavier than anything she’d said before. Because this time— She meant them truly. A soft breeze passed through, brushing against her skin. For a moment— Just a moment— It almost felt like peace. Like she could stay there and like nothing else existed beyond that river and beyond..that silence. The branch snapped behind her. Serena’s eyes opened instantly.
