A serpent the size of a small house burst from the mud, its scales slick and black, its mouth lined with curved, blood-stained fangs.
"Anaconda!" Lotanni shrieked, stumbling back.
No — not an anaconda. Not anymore. This thing was a mutation. The monster’s body writhed like it was stitched from several beasts, its head elongated, its mouth splitting wider than anything natural.
