I plead, and she looks into my eyes, searching for any hesitation, but when she doesn’t, she drops my hands and moves away. “Fine, I’ll tell you.” My excitement is swiftly wiped away by her next words. “The shadow god is an abomination. He was never supposed to be born. He’s the product of an unholy ritual, an anomaly.”

“It’s just a short visit. I’ll be back in two days. No need for a caravan.” He hesitated, but I leaned forward, brushing my lips to his cheek. “I’ll be fine, my love.” And just like that, I left. But not for Dawnmist. I arrived under the cover of night at Moonshadow Pack, my hood pulled low as I made my way to the abandoned quarters near the edge of the territory where Amy waited. She was exactly as I remembered beautiful, smug, dangerous. The moment I saw her, rage flared through me. My hands itched to wrap around her throat and squeeze until her secrets bled from her mouth. She knew too much. Too many names. Too many truths. Including mine.

Amelia's packmates tensed beside her, ready to spring into action. But Amelia extended a hand, urging caution. "We won't be swayed by your twisted ideals. We are united by loyalty and love, not darkness and despair." The Shadow Lord's glowing eyes narrowed beneath his hood, an unsettling smirk playing at his lips. "You speak of love as if it can save you. Allow me to enlighten you about the true nature of reality." With a flick of his wrist, the Shadow Lord conjured a powerful blast of dark energy, hurling it toward Amelia and her allies. The force of the impact sent them sprawling back, their bodies crashing into the cold stone floor.

Garith growled. Shannon snickered from where Rowan’s aura dropped her. I glanced down and saw that she had turned her face towards me so she could watch everything happening. Her eyes met mine, and she laughed. “You deserve every fucking thing you get today, Amy.” She sneered as she watched blood trail down my legs. “I can’t wait to watch you die. This will be the best mating gift anyone could have ever given me.”

Her shadow was so dark that I knew I could weaken it if I just called to the darkness. 'Shade, a little assistance please.' I know I am not good enough to control the darkness on my own. Shade shared some of her power with me so that I could easily call on the dark and not lose myself. I stretched my arms out and pulled the dark out of her shadow, it spilled out like smoke towards me. Her shadow slowed immensely, and as I continued to steal its power it kneeled on the ground. "Knock her out!" I heard Axel yell and everyone sent their attack towards me. I pushed the darkness, I had just sucked up, towards them, stopping their shadows and blocking their field of vision.

“You think you’re the only one?” “You wound me, Delia,” Gray chuckles. She slaps his arm playfully, letting him know it's time to get serious. He straightens up, as all signs of amusement snap from his face in a split second and holds still while she goes to work on the chain in his hands. She places both of her hands a few inches above the metal and whispers some incantation until a low blue glow can be seen from underneath her palms. When the glow fades she moves her warm copper brown hands and sighs.

Christina wanted to maintain her control over Paul’s body, but she knew the hitman would eventually take back the wheel. Amy didn’t know what to say. She stood motionless while caressing Christina’s hand. It felt like she was interacting with the spirit of a dead woman who had possessed a man’s body. If Amy could step outside of herself, she would see herself holding the hand of a muscular hitman in a suit. Amy felt like something had possessed her.
