The wall behind it mirrored, glass shelves held various bottles of liquor, stools sat lined up like soldiers in front of the slab of timber that had been painstakingly sanded and stained. A jukebox glowed in one corner of the room, and on the other side, a pool table whose green felt had seen better days. The stains of blood and drinks covered the once vibrant surface. A large oak table took up the middle of the room, twelve heavy chairs surrounded it. One word carved into the middle to remind anyone who was lucky enough to have a seat at the table why they were there “ROGUES”.

Especially not when he was stood with a rogue himself. "You can't exactly judge," I replied as I pointed to the guy. "He was part of Moon Shadow prior to their downfall. He just hasn't been fully accepted into the pack," Luca said. Hunt untied the rope from around my hands and once they were free, I rubbed the red rings around my wrists. "So can I leave?" Gold and violet. Their hands and face are both stained with Rouge blood. They don’t look sane or human. They look like creatures straight from hell, and fro

I sense the smugness of the rogue as he watches the blood dripping from my right side. I gave him a second or two to be proud of his subpar work, but just before he was about to attack again, thinking he could end me, I let the Shadow loose, and consequently, Hell itself. In seconds, I am behind the rogue, and I make sure to look him in the eye before I rip through his throat and his blood splatters across the greens. My Shadow rejoices, and I feel its power running through my veins. Another rogue tries to come for me, but I am unstoppable now.

He circled around me carefully, staying just out of reach of my teeth. "Shift," he commanded. I bared my teeth at him. "I said shift." His voice was harder now. Alpha tone. The kind of voice that was supposed to make wolves obey. My wolf wanted to listen. Every instinct in my body wanted to submit and shift and do whatever this man said. But I was not some pack wolf who had been trained to obey since birth. I was a rogue. I had survived twenty years by not submitting to anyone. And if I shifted now, I would be naked.
