“Emeric is what Anton and his father call a shadow spy, only a few even know we have these types of spies,” “And a shadow spy is?” I asked before anyone else could, my hands comforting my pregnant self and although I felt mad Emrys never told me about any of this, I decided to take a deep breath and reason with myself… Maybe he has an explanation as to why he never told me any of this.

It is as if it is following them, leading them out of the house. The shadow is trying to tell her something or show her somewhere. " Lucas, follow the shadow", Emily utters. Lucas did not even doubt her , he cautiously follows the shadow as it leads them through the haunted house. When they reach a black door, the shadow stops. The shadow shifts as it takes the form of a human.
