Shape Shifter Novels Novels & Stories

The trouble is, she hasn't shifted often enough in recent years. To stay nimble, shifters must shift back and forth as nature calls. A shifter who stays too long in beast form, will forget how to become human again, and vice versa. Living with Minette, her hafling granddaughter who never manifested as a shifter, she wasn't able to run wild as often as she'd like. Especially when they were hiding in cities. Now, weak, hungry, and injured, it is even harder to call up the magic. Remember. Remember what it's like. She thinks about her first shift at puberty, the joy of chasing her sister through the French countryside. There.

“We have studied any recovered books or records thoroughly over the years, as we do with any new pieces that find their way to us, for the most part we all assumed that the writings in here were children’s stories, and nothing but fiction written by an imaginative soul, and that may still be the case, but now I’m not so sure.” “The book is filled with tales, short stories really, relaying the life stories of shifters who were blessed or cursed by the Moon Goddess. It really does read as fantastical ramblings rather than anything of fact. But one of the stores tells of mated shifters both cursed and blessed by the Goddess. Cursed to a lonely life, one of solitude until they meet their perfect

4) What is shifting (shape-shifting)? Shifting is the process of changing from one form to another. In my book, babies could be born as a human or a wolf. The birth form would have more dominance over the other and the first shift will occur at the age of three, which might take hours to transform, as their bones will break and rearrange themselves to transform their form. As time passes, the shifting would occur in milliseconds with the practice and will be less painful. The werewolf can shift whenever they want. 5) What is mean by the mate?

I could almost feel their anticipation, their readiness to pounce, and their hunger for dominance. Within this void, fear and determination waged a battle within me. The suddenness of the shapeshifter's act had shattered the fragile equilibrium, and now I grappled with the unknown consequences that lay ahead. Yet, amidst the darkness, a flicker of hope ignited—a belief that this unforeseen turn of events could potentially work in our favor.

“Now they are working together.” The ancient enemy growled weakly. “THE TYRANT BREAKS WHAT ALREADY EXISTS.” “THE SHAPER BUILDS WHAT THE TYRANT WANTS.” Aria’s pulse spiked. “And we’re caught in the middle.” The Shaper suddenly lifted one hand. The air immediately answered. Not violently but rather, obediently. The broken terrain shifted. Realigned. Stone transformed and flowed like liquid into smooth, structured formations. The once jagged battlefield transformed into something eerily symmetrical.

Usually, shapeshifters aren't that good in combat but they are great at making strategies and thinking. "Tell me why you've been following her everywhere," I asked with gritted teeth. He coughed a little before answering. "We know she has the book. In order to take possession of it, she must be killed." Shit, they knew. That wasn't good. The way he said we must've meant that the whole shapeshifter race probably knows too. Maybe even other races. "I do not know what you're talking about." Of course, I knew, I just didn't want to admit it openly even though it was making me sound stupid.

I can detect the warmness encompassing me, occupying the room with energy and light. The Shifters gaze at the shape, their red eyes drilling into the light with its dimness. Following a second, they all start to enter the shape, boarding maybe they were all in line to enter a voyage and leave on a mystical excursion. Awe overpowers me as every one of the Shifters enters the shape. I can feel it pulling at me, and I let go reluctantly. The shape cruises away, and as it does I can see that it looks like a boat, flying through the sky as though it is the sea. It requires a couple of moments after the boat vanishes for me to acknowledge what I had done.

I dreamt of Kellen and Mike, sitting in the royal garden at our favorite fountain as the three of us lay three gazing at the stars. I dreamt of the library, the flickering pages, and glowing words. The dream was different, in slow motion as the same page floated down around me, one phrase highlighted amongst the others: She will rise above the kings and take her place as queen of alphas. The Queen of all shifters.

I hadn't even finished a whole row yet. Some stuff is repeated but this book is by far my favorite. It's solely about bear shifters. Bear shifters are the most loyal type of shifter. They would lay down their lives for the ones they are to protect without a single thought. Thats terrifying. I don't want Dom to die because I might. Even though he would probably fight me on it.

"Shape shifters mate for life, protecting their mates to the death. They have superhuman strength and senses. In human form they are distinguished by longer hair than usual on their heads, thick eyebrows and lean muscular bodies." She stared at the image drawn on the page, stunned when the paper seemed to shimmer and that of Mike Volka replaced the anonymous face. What on earth? She jerked so hard she nearly dropped the book and Mischief dug in her back claws to keep from falling off her lap. Jamie shifted the book on her lap, resettled Mischief and took a sip of her drink. Maybe she should be drinking wine while reading this, just to settle her nerves. Because the more she read, the more th
