You came here, barging in and asking all these stupid questions!” she spat. Bambi chuckled from behind Jada, “I don’t know which is natural, your blonde hair or stupidity? Do you think we’ll just come here if we don’t know the tenant?”

She stood at the edge of the collapsing void, torn between two impossible hells. Save him. Lose herself. Save herself. Lose him. “No…” she whispered. “There has to be another way.” The void cracked open beneath her feet. And suddenly— A hand seized her wrist. Alina’s head snapped to the side. Eva. Broken. Fragmented. Barely holding shape. But alive. “There is another way,” Eva whispered, voice glitching. “But it will cost you everything.” Alina swallowed. “Tell me.” Eva’s shattered face flickered.

The sun was warm as its rays filtered through the windows. I tore up the DNA test report. Finally, all the love and hatred in the past could be sealed away in these torn-up fragments now scattered across the floor.
