His darkness
My eyes got heavy and tired, and little by little I was starting to drift off.
I didn't know how much time had passed, maybe an hour, give-or-take, when I felt a sharp pain on my feet.
I woke up walking to the bedroom door stepping on broken shards of glass spread across the floor in the process.
I panicked.
My body was moving without my consent. Worse, I wanted to move my fingers, hands, lips, arms, anything but could do nothing. The lamp was off, leaving the room in total darkness. Xander had probably turned it off when I drifted off to sleep.
