It hadn't even given her a chance to ask anything.
She stood up. With every step she took, a soft chime rang out beneath her feet.
Lifting the edge of her shin guard, she saw a silver crescent-shaped anklet with a bell tied around her pale ankle, ringing with each step.
She bent down to tug at it, but it wouldn't budge at all.
She decided to ignore it. It was just decoration anyway, and it looked nice on her ankle. No need to fuss over it.
Howlpeak stretched endlessly. Seraphina shifted into her wolf form and checked every inch of the mountain, but found nothing unusual.
