Please step forward," Kea says and I lift my chin before stepping out of line. My eyes fix on Xiu and I see her pale cheeks turn a beautiful shade of red. Everyone else instantly falls away and I walk toward her. I try to keep my pace slow, but I still reach her quickly. "Xiu of Earth, I offer you my hand," I say a little too loudly and her friends all make different sounds of approval.

This time, pissed at everything. In the distance, I see the ship Xander's on. I can already sense him there, quicker, because of the mind-link connection, and the one of the Werewolves, "there," he says with an unfazed tone, talking through the link and my eyes fixate on it.
