The Orphaned Queen

The Orphaned Queen

"And don't say nothing! I refuse to sit around and do nothing while everyone deals with all of this." "We have the housing for the members, leaders, and warriors figured out, and Annie has assigned the omegas to their jobs for the duration of the stay. We have to meet with the contractors in the morning for the final walk-through of the completed shelters. Since you'll still have to stay hidden, for now, Orian will FaceTime you. Just make sure it's muted." He says, and I nod. I'm not satisfied, but I am relieved that the shelters have been completed in time for this mess. "I'm glad the shelters have been completed, but I need something to focus on," I say.

THE PROFESSOR'S DIRTY CLAIM

THE PROFESSOR'S DIRTY CLAIM

We held hands as we stepped off the elevator—comfortable, easy, the way two people who’d walked through hell together do. Jax waited near the bar—still limping slightly, but standing taller than ever. Mateo beside him—arm around Jax’s waist, both of them smiling like men who’d found their place. Jax hugged me first—tight, brotherly—then Elliott—quick clasp, back slap, the old rivalry long dissolved into something warmer. “You made it,” Jax said, voice rough with emotion. “Wouldn’t miss it,” I replied. The shelter had grown—five locations now, across two countries. Art therapy rooms, dance studios, counseling spaces. Kids who’d once slept on streets now performed spoken word on the small stag

The Endgame Chronicles

The Endgame Chronicles(The Apocalyptic Queen Theresa)(Supreme Survivor In The Zombie Apocalypse)

From her previous life, she knew there were three types of shelters. The first were city-center shelters, built under malls, residential buildings, or hospitals. They were convenient, well-equipped, and fast to evacuate—but useless in a zombie apocalypse. Holding a high population meant it was the fastest to fall. The other two types were tunnel-style shelters and professional defense installations. Professional ones were critical in the late apocalypse and formed the backbone of stable bases, but Hayley couldn't rent one. So, tunnel shelters like these were perfect for her: they were secluded, far from people, and big, with a solid ventilation system and a heavy iron gate—exactly what she n

This is by far and beyond the best book I've read in a long time! It kept me so engaged that I had a lot of sleepless nights and I had to force myself to put it down. If it was in book form, I would buy it in a heartbeat! Thank you Hugh White for writing and publishing this book. it's the story of a

Worth the read, well written and has a decent plot. The characters generally have a lot of depth, although one or two have been a little strange, maybe written that way on purpose. The FMC sometimes feels a little too cold, and vengeful, but again part of her character... I will continue reading!

I Became A Luna When The World Ended

I Became A Luna When The World Ended

"It's okay. She's hurting right now. You need to understand that." I kept up the facade, even more so now. Before coming here, I had imagined the shelter would be a rundown place where everyone would be squeezed together, sleeping on the floor and simply trying to survive. But now that I had seen it, it didn't seem that bad. People were rebuilding their lives here. Of course, it wasn't luxurious, but everything would be fine soon. As Lydia continued to walk away, Nathan rushed after her. That was when some of the omegas appeared. They were doing the hardest jobs, carrying bricks and other building materials to expand the shelter.

The Secret Heir’s Return

The Secret Heir’s Return

"I'm going to turn the house into a shelter. For women and children escaping abuse." Isabella's eyes filled with tears. "That's beautiful." "It's necessary." Ruth handed her the paper. "I want you to help me. Both of you." Isabella looked at the paper plans, budgets, and timelines. A dream taking shape. "Yes," she said. "We'll help." The shelter opened in the spring. Isabella stood at the ribbon-cutting, Ruth beside her, Sebastian and Damien behind her. Lucas and Lily held the scissors, their faces serious.

ISLAND OF DESIRE: REJECTED HEIRESS

ISLAND OF DESIRE: REJECTED HEIRESS

Lila joined in quickly: “You treat us like amateurs. We have never done such things before of course it takes time!” “And learning faster saves lives,” Kael said simply, hammering another peg firm. Alexus walked through all sides, checking and encouraging evenly. He moved naturally now between his old way commanding, polished and what Kael showed: practical, grounded, humble strength. He even worked harder than many, hands scratched and dirty like ours. By late afternoon, the shelter stood strong: long, raised, sloped roof, walls thick enough from wind and rain, open sides for air but easily closed. Inside divided into two sections men and women sleeping areas.

Marked by the Alphas

Marked by the Alphas

I inform him. “We saw, don’t worry,” he replies. “Mindy is overwriting the lock.” It takes all my self-control not to tap my foot or fiddle with my fingers out of impatience. I want to get out of this hallway and into that shelter. Finally, there is a soft beep, and the door clicks open. “Go, go,” I rush everyone inside. “Wow,” Matt mumbles once we are inside, and I look around. Not only is the shelter equipped with beds and chairs. There is also plenty of food, water, and medicine.

The Ruthless Billionaire and His Sassy Surrogate

The Ruthless Billionaire and His Sassy Surrogate

Penelope encouraged her. “Right.” She agreed and spun around towards the entrance of the hospital before halting her steps, making Brianne run into her with a ‘ooomph’ “Mom!” Brianne wailed, holding her nose. “Sorry, baby.” Betsy apologized and turned to Penelope. “Come to the Shelter in two weeks, Penny!” She shouted and waved, gathering people’s attention. In two weeks? She vaguely remembered there was a project to accommodate more people. She really needed her phone.

Second Chance Wolfless Mate

Second Chance Wolfless Mate

Two emergency tunnel entrance/exit and a false tunnel remained. Going to the safe house was no longer a scary event for the children of the pack. As the kids piled in, they spread out to various activities, video games, laser tag, movies. There were also bunk rooms and a nursery. A fully functioning and stocked kitchen could last for up to two weeks. Yes, even with the shelter full of hungry teenagers. Celeste’s favorite change that Jack and Jill did was not in the basement. Although, the hidden armory that was under the back patio was a close second favorite. During the renovations, they raised the sides on the roof, giving more protection to the humans as they stood guard.
