I took a deep breath and read her recent post. “I’m not better, but I’m trying. Work is helping me. The flowers are cheering me up. I hope you are all doing great. He said with bold words and picked her up. She chuckled and smiled as she was used to his bold language. He motioned with his hand to continue the time, everyone started to dance as if nothing happened. The guy who was touching her vanished like smoke. And I don't believe in such a thing as "happily ever after". There's only happily every now and then. I find the hardest trick is to recognize the now-and-then and to bask in them when they come. Happiness is a choice we make, like how to wear our hair, or having coffee with breakfast and tea at night.

However, its soft grainy texture and its ability to hold me from falling prove that it is indeed sand. A cool breeze fans me, as I stare into space. I feel content, light and free. I feel pure bliss and happiness. However, there’s a feeling I have that I quite not understand. The odd feeling is short lived as another breeze gently kisses my skin. I let my hair blow with it and I do not attempt to calm my hair like I normally would do. I close my eyes and just relish this happiness I feel over such a little action caused by the wind. The words of a famous writer, my favorite author, ring in my head – “Find joy in every little thing”.

Cora's POV Happiness doesn’t arrive all at once. It doesn’t crash into you like pain does, loud and merciless. It settles instead, quiet, careful, almost shy. Like it’s afraid you’ll send it away if it makes too much noise. I wake up smiling before I realize I’m doing it.
