As Skylar squatted down in bed, laughing at their tiredness, Andrew and Anna also sat up, resting on their pillows. She said, "Bedtime story, bedtime story. You love to listen to bedtime stories. Do you not?" For a moment, they both nodded their heads. I was standing by the doorstep, close to the point of unconsciousness. I was noticing Skylar guessing that I was still with them; I was quickly becoming lost in their gaze. It was a pleasure to have these adorable, intelligent kids around. I blushed as their lips moved gently, ready to question their mother, but Skylar asked them to remain quiet until she finished telling the bedtime story, sealing their lips with her fingers.

“Would you tell me a story? My friend Dustin says his mom and dad tell him stories every night, but no one will tell me a story.” My heart melted hearing his request, and I smiled. “Of course, Liam. And you are in luck. I know so many stories.” I picked him up in my arms. “Really?” he said excitedly, burying his head in my neck, making me sigh in content. “Yay.” I tucked him into his bed. I began weaving a tale about a courageous knight who embarked on an epic adventure to save a kingdom from a fearsome dragon. Liam’s eyelids grew heavy as he listened to the tale, and soon he was fast asleep.

“I am not sleepy!”, the little girl grumpily said. Her father was trying to put her to sleep with a lullaby, yet failing at the same time. He let out a sigh and said, “ Zeru, you have to sleep, it is late and you have lessons early in the morning.” Zeru, “But father, I am not sleepy. How about you tell me a story instead, please.” Father, “You little troublemaker! Do you know your way out huh?! Okay, but promise you will sleep after the story and no excuse.”

I whispered to myself while shooting my wildly beating heart. Taking a deep breath I gave myself the courage to take Zanvil naughty talks more maturely and when to do my work with still wildly beating hearts. We all ate our dinner together and through dinner, Zanvil was not stopping being naughty. He is determined to do what he said today. That thought caused me to increase my heartbeat. After dinner was done it was time for tugging my babies to the bed. They won't sleep unless I read them their bedtime story while lying with them in their bed. Lying with them I started reading their favorite bear family story and I don't know when I dozed off with them.

Reading bedtime stories and telling good tales have the same effect; the only difference was a book in hand with pictures. "I'm all ears, big sis." "Alright." Lavana cleared her throat. "Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful girl named Pixie. She lived in a small community with her mom and dad. She had a wonderful playmate called Austin. His mom made very nice cakes. Pixie loved to go play with him every day. They went to the same school and sat close to each other. Austin can tell really great jokes and made Pixie very happy.

I remember that night. It is raining and six year old me lay on the bed, looking up at the ceiling and probably counting the stars that are drawn over the wood. Mom has just tucked me in after reading a bed time story of Robinson Crusoe to me. I like Robinson Crusoe and I sometimes imagine myself being him and getting lost in an island or so. It is past my bedtime already but I can't seem to bring myself to sleep. I don't know why. I switch of my bedside lamp and close my eyes thinking of Robinson Crusoe and Tom Sawyer another bedtime story that mom loves to read to me.

His heart was hurting badly, and how could he sleep? So, although he was very tired, he did not want to close his eyes, as if she would disappear when he closed his eyes. Sleeping in his arms, feeling his nervousness, Jenny smiled warmly, then mischievously asked, "Want me to tell a bedtime story for you?" I sat on the edge of the bed and began, “Once upon a time, in a vast and endless desert, there was a single seed. This seed was special because it had a dream—to become a beautiful flower.”

The night was cold, and I feared they would catch a cold, but they began to cry out loud on the road. People began to stare, so I had gotten them the ice cream. When they got home, I prepared for them a nice warm shower, and dressed them, making them ready for bed. “I'm craving a bedtime story, Mommy.” Nadia said, as I tucked them in. “I'll tell you one tomorrow. I'm exhausted, okay? What do you think about two bedtime stories tomorrow?” I asked, as a bribe. “Oh yeah! I want Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty.”
