Silver eyes said to me as he dragged his chair to sit so close to me and looked me directly in the eye. “You still don’t know how to control your appendages; they’re wagging like you just finished having a treat.” Silver eyes teased me and I blushed, that was foul! How could he compare me to a dog, I was a wolf! A beautiful silver wolf! I had noticed my silver tail when I was eating earlier but I just chose not to mention it.

The book was flat, with only a few pages, and that intrigued me even more. I opened the first page and began to read; “The Silver Bloods are a rare breed of werewolves, descended from the moon goddess herself. It is a line of only female wolves. Not that males are born from these females, but they never seem to inherit the qualities of their mother.” Interesting. There were special wolves out there that were more powerful than the norm. I turned a few more pages and stopped; “Characteristics: They appear fairly normal in their human form, except for their silver hair.”

“I’m checking for the volcano!” “Yeah right.” I quipped. “So much for Your Silver being as fast as the wind, the rumors were overrated.” She must have caught I was trying to annoy her as her lips curled to a smirk. “They weren’t.” She sped past me. I laughed, seeing I got to her. But before she left, I couldn’t help but notice her eyes glow a certain color, for a second, silver. Was that normal for her kind?

I wonder if it feels weird to not have another soul attached to them. The elders circle around me while Katerina and Kale stand against the wall, watching with fascination. All of the elder’s eyes begin to glow the color of their element and mine begin to glow silver. The colors hit each other and are dancing along the walls, creating an aurora borealis look throughout the room. It’s beautiful.

Her eyes were indeed different. They were a vivid blue, with a purple-lilac ring surrounding the iris. They were silver eyes. She knew it the moment she saw them. This wasn't just a reflection of the light or an emotional effect. It was real.

I turned my head slowly, following his gaze. Silver flashed between the trees. Not Garrett's warriors returning. Something else entirely. Eyes that glowed not amber but cold, metallic silver. And there were dozens of them.

I have to admit; for wolves, those two were definitely gorgeous. They both stood 6’4” and had crystal ice blue eyes, but Garnet had dark red hair, whereas Phillip had dusty blonde

The man standing in front of me was frail. His height made him stoop. The moonlight captured his sunken eyes just right. He held a tome so thick I feared he would fall over. Despite its size it was a beautiful book. The outside was shiny black. Jewels dotted the front. The back was imbued with bright gold filigree. The man stood on an altar made of the same stuff. It was shiny black. It almost looked like water. I wanted so badly to reach out and touch it but I stopped myself. Something about this felt like a test. I don’t know why I got that impression but I dug my toes into the earth and clasped my hands behind my back.
