Silver Sparrow Mga Nobela at Kwento

Now she was gone, and it was my fault. Logan held me close, kissing my shoulder as he spoke absently. “I wonder if that's why the mate bond won't stick?” He mused softly. “Silver, how long have you been wearing this collar?” The question caught me off guard, and I hiccuped. “Seven… eight years? I'm not really sure.” I didn't actually know how long I had been there. Each week blended together into each month, which blended into each tortuous year. Logan swore softly and sat upright, pulling me with him until our backs rested against the headboard. “The prolonged exposure to the nickel in the collar likely locked your wolf away, but she's still there. She has to be.”

Seele stones ringed the ceremonial clearing, their glow soft and steady, humming with approval as if the land itself had decided to bear witness. I stood at the heart of it all, my hands trembling only slightly as I held Archer's. His eyes were on me and mine on him. He was dressed in silver and black, the mark of his lineage woven into his cloak, but stripped of the West's regalia. No crown or chains. Just the Silver Alpha standing before his mate.

I wondered. “Nowadays, sparrows are believed to symbolize joy, community, teamwork, protection, simplicity, hard work, or self-worth. This hasn't always been the case, however. In Europe's Middle Ages, sparrows were believed to represent peasants and the lower class. In old Celtic tradition, sparrows were thought to be keepers of ancestral knowledge.” I became engrossed by her words and dared not interrupt her.

"Yes, Supreme Priest. I will do my best to get there as soon as possible." Runolf voiced aloud the conversation he held in thoughts with the High Priest, only to boast and brag before his clan of the power he possessed. That topaz was one of the stones that made up the Gems of the Golden Serpent. This and three other topazes held by three other lords that formed the four clans of The Brotherhood of the Oracle, had the peculiarity of allowing their bearers to communicate by thoughts to each other, and with the Supreme Priest of the Brotherhood, who guarded the Golden Snake that housed the rest of the gems.

Pursing her lips, Summer did another search. For a few moments, her eyes moved nimbly, sweeping the screen of her phone. "Sparrows are usually very shy birds. No one can see a sparrow resting or preening its feathers with its beak. They are always wary of humans. If a human approaches, they will quickly fly away. They rarely bond with humans."

We’re going to shift and hunt with her. Silver’s wolf is flawed, just as she is. Her fur is the tone of her natural eye color; sky-blue. She’s huge for a shifter wolf and has silver wings that span out a couple of yards in each direction. A silver crescent moon shines brightly on her forehead between her orbs, which hold all three hues-blue, silver and gold. ‘Even her wolf is an ugly freak of nature! Stand down, damn it! She’s not our mate! You better not do anything to embarrass the shit out of me! I would never accept that abomination as my mate!’

Mari pulled my hair into an elegant updo and accented it with two small stuffed ruby-throated hummingbirds. There is a male with a pearlescent green body, ruby throat, black chin, and white belly. He is perched as if he is dancing in flight in my hair. The second is a female posed as if the two are engaged in a mating dance, perched above observing the males display. She is a more intense green bird with a stark white belly and what looked like kohl lining her eyes.

That word again. Lucky to be handed a girl like livestock. Lucky to be expected to break her without breaking a sweat. Xavier said nothing. Dorian clapped him on the shoulder. “Don’t look so grim. You’ll enjoy it. First time’s always a thrill. Especially when they’re still… fresh.” Xavier flinched. It was the smallest movement. Barely noticeable. But Dorian saw it. “Don’t tell me,” he said slowly, stepping back with a smirk. “You’ve never—?”

⛏️ Chapter Twelve: The Descent into the Silver Veins The air in the disused mine shaft hit us like a physical weight—damp, metallic, and cold. The familiar scent of earth and granite was overlaid with a strange, subtle hum that made the hairs on my arms rise. This was the source of the Silver Wolf Pack’s ancient magic—the ground itself was rich in trace lunar metal, a faint echo of the Shard's power. It was protection, but it was also a homing beacon.

Life in the south was better than I could have imagined. I was put in charge of the Silver Moon Pack’s most sacred sanctuary, home to rare silver foxes, snow wolves, and the legendary moon-stags. My innate bond with the wild finally had a place to thrive. Whenever I walked through the sanctuary, the animals would approach me on their own. Silver foxes would brush their fluffy tails against my palm. Snow wolf pups would roll around at my feet, begging for attention. The pack members looked at me with open adoration.
