The way the moonlight hit his perfectly chiseled cheeks made me think the moon was made just for him. “You don’t live around here, do you?” I finally spoke. Oliver looked nothing like around here. His tattoos almost had a metallic sheen to them, and not a speck of his ink had color. It was all black and white, with several wolves howling at the moon. There were a few wolf skulls and tribal tattoos that trailed up his arms and neck. There was not one part of his body that didn’t have some decoration, well, except one part of his shoulder that was left blank that I saw earlier, which was strange. Maybe he had a special one he wanted to put there.

Jamal’s POV The message from the owl arrived under the cloak of night, a messenger of the unseen realms. Its white feathers glowed in the moonlight, and in its beak, it carried a small vial—a vessel containing an otherworldly concoction. The air crackled with arcane energy as the owl descended, talons gripping the edge of my windowsill.

It’s like a really faint tattoo without the ink. I shut the water off so I can look at it closely. It’s an infinity mark with a single vertical band running around the middle, and two dots on both ends of the band.

Esmeray held her forearm up, examining the intricate tattoo that adorned her skin. Leaning in closer, I slide the sleeve of his t-shirt up so I can see it, making him laugh around his forkful of casserole. Every time I see it, it makes my heart skip a beat. I kept staring at it for a while then I looked at Mei. "The wolf is a symbol of my father's favourite animal. He passed away a few years ago due to an accident. The owl symbolizes my mother's wisdom and the dove is a symbol of my late sister Mabel. The flowers I tattooed around them are a symbol of my love for them all." She walked towards me and touched my chest with her finger moving it around the outline of each tattoo. She looked up at me with a concerned face. "You love deeply and you have lost so much."

Xander snarls, rejecting her explanation, too angry to see beyond it. “The Order of Three, but those that know about it call it the order.” She unzips her jacket, and her friends match her movements, moving in unison. Together, they pull their collar away from their necks, revealing a tattoo where a mate mark should sit. A triple moon is etched into the skin with black ink. The center moon has a key and arrow crossed with a paw sitting in the center, holding the components in place.

He preferred it that way. Beta Remus entered the hall and sniffed appreciatively. His black eagle tattoo peeked out from the collar of his shirt. In a pinch, he could release the inky bird and it would take flight, providing reconnaissance from above. Each pack member's tattoo, received upon turning sixteen, transformed into a unique animal providing a unique gift. Only one wolf could claim each creature.

I said. "Much more," Marisol said. "The spiral is already being used in posts about Hidden Stitch. People are drawing it. Tattooing it." She paused. "Three people have already gotten it as a tattoo." I looked at the phone. At the spiral. At Noah's caption. At seventy three thousand. "He designed a brand symbol that people are tattooing onto themselves," I said. "He's five years old," Marisol said. "And yes." I put the phone down.
