Aria shouted. "What? I didn't make you say it." Killian laughed, clearly amused but Aria was not not getting the joke. She was livid at this point. Just then, Darius walked in, "Hello…" he singed as he walked over to them. He greeted the children first before leaning in to kiss Aria. He noticed the angry look on Aria and the disheartened look on Killian. "What did I miss?" Aria rolled her eyes and ignored him, she brought her attention back to the kids and made them eat their breakfast.

“Oh my! Lena, that is wonderful! I knew you had talent I always knew it!” Lena sat beside her, laughing with relief. “Grandma, I can actually start building my future.” “My brave little girl,” Grandma whispered, patting her hand. “I am so proud of you. You deserve everything good.” Just then… A shadow appeared at the doorway. Darius. He had been walking to visit Grandma, but when he heard voices her voice, excited he paused and listened. Now he stood there silently, fists clenched at his sides. He had seen Adrian Volkov touch her at the audition. He had seen the spark in her eyes when she looked at him.

“This is the best thing anyone has ever done for me.” Darius smirked. “I’m glad I could do it.” I felt my cheeks warm. “I didn’t even know you could sing.” “Well,” he said, lowering his voice slightly, “I can. And I’ve been saving a love song specially for you.” My lips parted. “You have?” He chuckled softly. “Yeah. I didn’t really know the lyrics to this song, so I had to practice it a few nights.” “What? You practiced?” “Mm-hm,” he hummed, spinning me gently as the guitar melody continued.

Looking past Eryx. A figure stepped from the shadows. Tall. Scarred. Familiar. Darius. “Step away from him.” Darius’s voice was deadly calm. “Or I’ll kill you all.” “You can’t take five of us.” The guard said. But his voice shook. “Watch me.” Darius moved. Fast as lightning. His blade sang. Three guards fell before they could raise weapons. The other two ran. Smart enough to know they were outmatched. Darius knelt beside Eryx. “Boss sent me.” His hands moved to the silver chains. “Can you walk?”

I asked him but this time, I talked in a voice that no one would pick unless they were looking directly at me. It was voiceless but well shaped words came out of my lips. “I do." He said simply and mounted the two steps to the ring again. “Ladies and gentlemen, excuse me again," Darius bellowed and all went still. “Well, there has been a request from Serena,” he said and then paused. "Has she decided to quit?" Someone from the audience shouted. “Speak again while I am speaking without permission and I will have the birds of the air feasting on your flesh today," Darius threatened as if he was talking about what a lovely morning it was.

Edeline His voice trembled as he pleaded, his sincerity evident through his anguish. That night, the pain was almost too much to bear. I hated reliving the recent turmoil, the rawness of it still fresh. But despite everything, I trusted him. As tears streamed down my cheeks, blurring his figure before me, I whispered, “I have faith in you, Darius.” My heart ached, knowing that the actions he confessed to weren’t truly him. They were the result of manipulation by Tatiana and Anita.

Darius gaze flicks to me. I hold it steadily. Say it. "A woman," he says finally. "Name's Mara Wyatt." The line goes quiet. Then: "You always did like difficult jobs." "Can you do it or not?" "I can do anything. For the right price." "Name it." A number. High. Very high. Darius doesn't even hesitate. "Done." The channel closes. Darius exhales with shoulders loosening just a fraction as if the act of summoning violence steadied him.

I step toward him, claws extended, ready to end him— When a slow clap breaks through the smoke. Clap… clap… clap. A familiar scent hits me next. My own fucking betrayer of a brother. Darius. He steps through the haze with a lazy smile like he’s arriving at a damn dinner party instead of a massacre. His shirt is unbuttoned, hung open like he didn’t even bother dressing properly. His eyes gleam with amusement, not anger. “Brothers,” he says warmly, almost fondly. Daemon growls.

Their determination never wavered, but frustration began to mount. Suddenly, Cassandra stopped, drawing the attention of the other two. "Do you hear that? It's... singing." Elara strained her ears, "It's a siren's song. We mustn't listen!" She began to chant a protective spell to shield their ears from the entrancing melody. But it was too late for Darius, who began to wander away, lured by the haunting voice. Cassandra and Elara tried to hold him back, but the song's pull was too strong.

I see the way he touches her, the way he looks at her. I feel a hand on my shoulder. "Silvia," says Darius, his voice so low I have to lean toward him to hear, "All is not over. Trust the Goddess." Then he straightens, becomes a more imposing figure. Darius the Magician? His imposing silence draws everyone's attention. "I am Darius Eldritch," he says. "Introduce yourself unknown werewolf."
