“Only a man would find that important to point out,” I rolled my eyes and lifted my head from the pages. “Another book claims they’re half fish and half women.”
“I think that author confused sirens with mermaids, and whilst the two are often associated, they are not the same,” he dismissed the description. “I’ve noticed neither scale nor feather on you,” he added with a smirk.
I flushed. “Shh,” I cautioned him sending a look to our nearest neighbour, a young man whose cheeks coloured brightly as I looked at him. “Rivyn,” I frowned at the mage. “That’s indecorous.”
