The impact had been brutal—even with our supernatural healing abilities, hitting the surface at that velocity had been like colliding with concrete. Every bone in my body screamed in protest, but that pain was nothing compared to the terror clawing at my chest. Something was wrong. Terribly, horribly wrong. Orion's body had gone completely limp in my arms the moment we'd hit the water. Theron is already there, maps spread across the table. “We’ve confirmed three more sightings,” he states. “Same signature?” He nods. “Yes black-eyed, organized and super strong.” A cold chill brushes down my spine. “Orion Caster.” Theron tenses. “You think he’s back?” I don’t answer, my mind racing. Orion trained me, broke me, built me, then tried to destroy me. He used to ramble about some ancient prophecies. About a silver-blooded girl born under two moons. A girl who’d be the key to unlocking the Guardians’ seat.

He had just made the mistake of revealing where his loyalties lay. “Wrong on two counts,” I continued, stepping forward until I was looking him directly in the eye. “First, Darius Blackwood is many things—a traitor to our kind, a criminal, a greedy man willing to chase power to hell’s doorstep—but he is not an Alpha anymore.” I turned my gaze briefly to the disgraced man still kneeling on the cold stone floor. “He—or anyone from his bloodline—is forbidden to use that title because of the blood rituals he performed. He is nothing but a disgrace to our people.” Orion clenched his jaw, but I wasn’t done. I took another slow, measured step toward him, watching as the sweat gathered on his brow.

“Pay close attention, though, for there will be…consequences for those who do not land in the Top.” Orion sighs again and lifts his head, taking a single step forward as eighteen circles appear before him – nine golden. And nine black.

“What?” “Yes sir. Apparently, we are her oracles. She made it so I can draw the scene.” I said holding up the drawing pad. “And Liz sees the whole picture as like a video of sorts.” “I never dreamed I’d be alive to see an oracle of the Moon Goddess!” Alpha James exclaimed. “So, you believe us?” Liz asked. “Of course, I do! There are many books that tell of different oracles through the ages and how coveted they are. We cannot let anyone know about you two.”

Hence, when she sent a message to Sirius, she felt guilty. [Where are you? Let’s meet tonight.] She then looked at Aster. “You got your wish.” “Not exactly. I’m doing this to help your bestie.” Aster then fell into contemplative silence before he put on a serious look. “But I need to tell you this: Sirius Roland is different from Titus Black. He values relationships more. If he actually falls in love with you, leave his side as soon as possible. If he learns that you went to Charmed before…”

“And you know what you need?” Lucian didn’t want to hear it. But Orion continued anyway. “You need to get on top of a Luna. Any Luna. Let your instincts do what they’re supposed to. Get Valen out of your system.” Lucian growled. “I’m not using someone for—” “Who said anything about using?” Orion cut in smoothly. “You’re the Alpha of Blackmoon. There are a dozen females here who’d throw themselves into your bed without you even needing to ask. Let one of them show you what you're missing. Let your wolf breathe.”

I kind of nodded back, unsure what to say. Orion almost without hesitation walked in the direction of the cars. He came to a stop next to a black SUV, and I followed behind him, with Kira ahead of me. Once I was finally seated in the car, I sighed. The leather cushion was so cold against my back. Turning on the engine, its almost silent hum seemed to resonate through the silence. "How was the meeting with the witch?" said Orion as he glanced at me in the rearview mirror. I hesitated. Her words had reverberated in my head like a mist I could not shake off. I did not even fully understand it myself.

He’s not judgmental, which is very high quality in my opinion. The terrace door is open, I step outside and spot someone sitting on a small table. I recognize the Black Tiger in his all-leather outfit. He’s peacefully smoking his cigarette while his eyes are resting on the moonlight and his mind travelling elsewhere. I hesitate to move closer at first, but I don’t have any reason to fear him. It’s not like the building belongs to him.
