She picked up the loosened page, and unlike the burnt one which she had read last night, this one did really belong to the book. And there she found an almost faded sketch of a gilded hand with fingers that were slender and nails that looked more like claws. It seemed to be holding a heart, dripping blood collected into a pool beneath it.

Chapter 70 • Talking Skeleton After the body totally dispersed, Linda was faced with a talking skeleton. "Hahahahahaha." The skeleton continued to laugh out loud in a way that pissed Linda. His jaw tightened in anger as he watched, waiting for her to reach the door. She was already fumbling for the key inside her backpack. She finally got a hold of it and reached the door, sticking her key inside. He stood before the door inside and watched the key vibrate with her struggle.

"Okay, that’s a good idea," I agree, and for the rest of the way, I hold her hand in mine wondering why people do this. It doesn't make sense. It's weird, her little hand is way too weak and tender, if I hold it too hard unconsciously, all her bones would break in seconds and I don't want that. Besides, it doesn't even feel good or anything, it's just stupid. But I guess I have to please my mate so I can have sex later. Maybe that's why people hold hands, to have sex later.

My heart is slamming against my ribs as I quickly down what remains of my port, frantically wondering if I should ask for another. He holds out his hand to me. Such a large hand.
