Savage
We wrap our arms around each other’s waists as I walk up.
“Why don’t you tell them, my love,” he says, kissing the top of my head.
“I know most of you know of the haunted forest,” I begin.
“Haunted forest?” Little Leander asks, as if this is the stupidest thing he’s ever heard. Emlyn comes up behind him and puts her hands on his shoulders. When he looks up at her, she subtly shakes her head, silently telling him to be quiet.
“The forest isn’t haunted, but it is inhabited. By sprites,” I say.
