Chapter 70 • Talking Skeleton After the body totally dispersed, Linda was faced with a talking skeleton. "Hahahahahaha." The skeleton continued to laugh out loud in a way that pissed Linda. As if the skeleton sensing what Linda was about to do it raised it hand with vigor and took a red rope that hugged on a nail on the wall. Before Linda could raise her hand so that she could point her index finger on the skeleton in front of her as she had started incarnating but then… The skeleton used the rope in its hand to bond Linda all over her body and she fell down on the ground.

Skye – POV When I was younger, I used to think stories came in straight lines. Beginning. Middle. End. A neat arc that made sense. But now I know they’re more like margins. Scribbled notes between paragraphs. Words written in secret, half in shadow. Sentences we didn’t mean to say, or couldn’t say until the ache made room for them. Rachel’s Place was full of stories like that. Notes in margins. Scraps of lives pinned to walls. People healing in the quiet between other people’s healing.

It was as if no one was qualified to look at this skeleton. However, as Raider approached the skeleton and looked at it, it seemed to feel his presence and grew a little brighter. The skull in the center shone more than the rest, as if something was inside of it. Suddenly, as Raider arrived in front of the corpse, a body of light burst out from the skull and circled around Raider and the bones. Raider felt like this blob of light could easily take his life if it wanted to. Slowly, the light came to hover above the skeleton and change shape.

I threw the sword, and it went rolling end over end, slicing off the head of the skeleton and shattering it to pieces. I grabbed hold of a skeleton rapier's hand, twisted it backwards, and I could hear the sound of bone cracking. I transformed my hand into a huge boulder and then used it to knock its head off. It went scattered. I swashed aside, then jumped and kicked a skeleton on the chest, and the bone went crashing due to the force. I stretched my hand, and the sword appeared back in my hand. I jumped in the air and planted my two feet on two skeletons' chests, and their bones cracked. Out of the corner of my eyes, I could see the squirrel cat biting one skeleton. It was jumping from one

However, more skeletons came crowding over. Over on Saiba's end. Two of his men set up defenses at once. Two five-meter-long spears appeared in each man's hand, burning brightly with spiritual flames that pounced on the incoming skeletons. Both men were of peak Ambience level, and the skeletons were crushed in an instant. However, there were too many skeletons, and they quickly filled the square again in the blink of an eye. There were even more skeletons charging into the square.

"Don't worry! I'm a doctor. I'm not afraid!" With a faint smile on his face, he headed toward the bones at a quicker pace. Zachary looked utterly bewildered, not understanding Kiran's intentions. As for Frank, he had already figured out that those skeletons had deadly poison from the School of Venom, or perhaps it was the snake venom from that snake. However, he did not understand what was going on. Kiran walked up to the bones and kicked them with his foot. He even kicked over one of the freshly deceased, surprised to see the person's back already rotting while the bones remained intact.

The six gigantic skeleton warrior rushed at Jin and the seven at Anna, but they didn't draw their swords, it looks like Devora's order to them was to just stop Anna and Jin until Devora hadn't finished killing those who burned Jin's house. At Jin's speed, he was the first to punch the skeleton, he put all his might on that blow, but the skeleton warrior just stared at him as if unaffected by his blow, so Jin backed away. Anna on the other hand was able to match the strength of the seven skeleton warriors, when other skeleton warriors noticed it, the three of them rushed to Anna as supports to the seven. Anna has ten opponents now and Jin has three.

This black skeleton’s defense was not as great as the skeleton king, so its arm was broken apart right away. Soon, Alex could see the owner of the black arm: it was a black skeleton. Behind this black skeleton were countless skeletons! “My goodness!” Alex was dumbfounded by the sight outside. Under the moonlight, it was a big area of black skeletons. They emerged from the water at the large lake row by row, just like the leaking petroleum. How many of them were here? The room was not big.
