They were abnormally small in comparison to the skull, as though the head had grown, but the body had remained the size of a toddler’s. He didn’t reply right away but enclosed me in his arms. “Can we now start all over again?” he asked, smiling through his tears. I nodded and smiled. I stood back as I watched her dress tear apart and her bones snap into a new position. AUTHOR'S POV Her screams suffocated the room as her bones began to snap, length and pop through her skin and back into a slouched place. Her dress ripped into many shades and fell down on the ground. Her bones began repositioning itself and her skin began to move, pretty elastic. It shreds in her legs and stretches up to the length of her back and a new tightened , fully formed layer of skin slightly slides into place over her body. Her human eyes stripped out and were eventually replaced with dilated sharp glistering eyes that were short closed.

“It will dim when she’s in great danger and will start turning black if she’s dying. It so far has remained bright, which means she’s having fun outside. Our parents and I are missing her so much so I came to claim her back.” “You want her back? No way. So, witnessing the one before our eyes felt unreal. I ran my gaze down his body. No, not a body...just a...structure. At first glance, you'd perceive them as skeletons but upon a closer look, you'd see the skin. The skin that was so parched, brittle, and thin that it cracked with every movement. It was stretched tight across bones, with no flesh or muscle beneath...like something half-alive and half-dead. The eyes were sunken pits with no eyeballs but just a dim glow. It had no lips, just a wide gap as a mouth and when it spoke, a wheezing sound accompanied its words.
