The box was rather heavy, and Sebastian nearly sprained his waist. Myra didn’t remember what she bought. “Probably some snacks…” Because Estelle loved snacks, there was always a supply of her favorites at home. Sebastian pursed his lips again. “Young people should eat more healthy food and less junk food… Where do you put the scissors?” He chided her, but he was rather eager to open the box as well. “In that small cabinet in the hallway.”

A crisp voice rang out. Sonnet looked in the direction of the voice. Skylar was getting food in the front of the queue. The lunch boxes that she had placed on the table next to her were full of dishes. She was holding onto a lunch box and asking for another serving of braised pork ribs. Sonnet’s heart lurched when she brought up braised pork ribs. She recalled that it was Shay’s favorite food. Was she…packing food for Shay? After packing the food, Skylar carried the lunch boxes with both hands and walked out of the canteen.

There are still some things that should be edible, though. Sneak is the first to grab something, pulling a package of Twinkies from a shelf. “I read somewhere these things have a shelf life of around a thousand years,” he says as he tears the plastic open and pops the end of a Twinkie into his mouth with no hesitation. We watch as he chews his treat, half expecting him to keel over or at least grab his stomach. I got it from the China Market at a really good bargain. The lady gave me fifty percent off."

Now it’s time for the snacks. Cheetos, a multitude of chips flavours, Doritos and salsa. All the typical hosting foods. Fruit & nut mix. M & Ms. Chocolate covered pretzels. Pancake mix. No overtly sugary cereals. But I do notice the Pop Tart boxes going into the cart. I’ve been with her for a year so nothing that is hitting the cart is surprising me in the slightest. I add a few snacks of mine which makes Em chuckle as she says she wanted to leave something for me to do, even though she knows what I like.

While for the rest, their snack box have the combinations of apple and bran muffins, pumpkin souffle, pork satays with peanut sauce, and lemon ricotta puddings. It was heavy for a snack considering that her serving was not a small amount but they can take it home if they want.
