She removed his hand from her mouth as she turned to take off her clothes. “Do you mind?” Sequoia asked with raised eyebrows. “No I don't.” Sky said as he sat down oh her bed, watching her everyone like a hawk.

Then, the sky rumbled. Rana dashed to a tall tree with a wide trunk to find shade from the falling rain. The fight ensued on the ground. More guards came to the ground to fight Shane, Ethos, and Helios. All the three young men were covered in their cloaks. Ethos wore a dark blue cloak while Helios wore a black cloak. Mud and water splashed on the ground as they raised their swords against the army of guards who had joined in the fight. Rainwater soaked them.

"We've all pored over your papers. Working with you is truly an honor for us." The seasoned leader greeted us with a warm smile. "Meet Sunny Kane, your junior colleague. She's now an integral part of our research team." I took a moment to really look at the girl with the infectious smile. Her slightly oversized white lab coat could not mask the vibrant energy she radiated. I said offhandedly, "You seem pretty familiar with me." Sunny's smile did not waver, and her presence was instantly comforting. "The leader often talks about you. He says you're the most gifted student he's ever had."

Chapter One: A New Beginning Aqua’s heart raced as she walked through the imposing iron gates of Crestwood High. Another town, another school, another chance to start over—if only it were that simple. At 5'10", her presence commanded attention, but she preferred to stay unnoticed. Her dark skin glowed under the morning sun, and her eyes, a striking shade of amber, held secrets untold. "I need to be strong for my family", he told himself as he tried to hold back tears.
